Harvest league itself kind of sucks, but the rest of the game is still the best ARPG available.

agreed

Currently, my biggest complaint is map progression. The old version was nice and simple, do maps, move up a tier, repeat until endgame, occasionally do side stuff like Elder.
The new version is a fucking pain in the ass.
>Push up through the first 5 tiers of Maps also do these 4 notable bosses...
>Okay, now push up through the next 2 and a half tiers (but only on half the Atlas) and beat them again
>Okay, now push up through the next 2 and a half tiers (but only on half the Atlas) and beat them again
>Okay, now push up through the next 2 and a half tiers (but only on half the Atlas) and beat them again
>Okay, now push up through the last 2 and a half tiers (but only on half the Atlas) and beat them again
>Now beat this annoying faggot boss
>Okay, cool, now keep shuffling all your magic rocks around and enjoy having to clear a shitload of maps before you get to fight them again..
>And again
>And again
>And one more time!
>Congrats, you've officially finished progressing your Atlas..
>Now you can map comfortably and actually farm the end-game "versions" of the encounters, which are identical to the last 8 (4) times you did them and try to get your Awakened gems, which have insanely awful drop rates, have fun~

Agreed, I actually dislike mapping now when it used to be my favourite part of end game. The atlas rework felt like changes for changes sake.

no real competitor so chris just huffs his own farts all day and isn't forced to fix any of the massive problems the game has had for years or risk losing his whales. I hope D4 is actually good just so chris has to actually get to work.

I fucking hate it, mapping used to be simple mindless fun but it's like they went "hmm there's one part of our game that isn't filled with retarded mechanical bloat, this can't continue"

I just realized I put in one extra part for the early Stones, lol.
Anyway, yeah. There was nothing wrong with the old system, the only complaints anyone had were:
>Stop nerfing Sextants
And
>Why am I only allowed to have 1 T16 of choice?
They remedied the latter by letting you (almost) max out the whole Atlas (and tacked on way too much bullshit), but kept fucking with the former until its current state.
I like the concept, it adds a whole slew of new bosses and lets you max your Atlas, but the execution is awful and feels like a miserable slog. The only time I have been able to stomach it was fucking Metamorph, which I easily slammed out 36 in.

I fell for the tr trickster meme for 3.11 league start - what a shit build

Then why isn't it fun?

The funny part is, they actually took steps towards removing bullshit from old mapping with Sextant changes and such. Then threw it all out the window.
>You can no longer "Sextant Block" your Atlas
>You can no longer have a Sextant on every map
>You can no longer have permanent Elder influence on a map
>Elder ring bullshit fixed.. twice

Tencent

Yeah, ED Trickster is so much better it's hilarious.

Why would you ever want to have all of these mandatory fucking awful mechanics in place? good riddence

I dislike that legendaries are less sought after than rares.

but that is what differentiates poe from other games that revolve around sets and leggos. 9 times out of 10 unless the unique has a build defining trait i.e. Cospris, well crafted rares will beat out anything else.

Greedy devs. Its a gacha cash shop nonsense at this point. You are required to buy stashes/tabs/etc to even remotely play the endgame

But then also, make the crafting system hot garbage that requires a massive down payment of resources to actually get good results out of.

soulless grindan' to get upgrades so you can grind faster while mashing one button the entire time and one-shotting entire screens of boring enemies

same problem as any other isometric ARPG really, the genre is just awful

everything

speed meta loot pinata is cancer that needs to die

>single handedly saves the genre

> the unique has a build defining trait i.e. Cospris
I want more of these. And make endgame less about mapping

Imagine them spending all that time on pointless league mechanics that you can't even count on two hands anymore and they still have a diablo 2 trading system.
I stopped playing when I realized 90% of your time in that game is running the same 2 or 3 maps for those few specific ulra rare drops and either clicking for 2 hours while spending the currency you spent 12 hours farming to hopefully get that one decent roll on the mods you want let alone getting something with mods you want or spending 2 hours searching """"""the market""""""" so you can spend the currency on something that someone else spent 2 hours clicking to "craft".
Does anyone even use essences anymore?
Who cares about tormented spirits?
Harbingers? ooooooo chaos shards.
einhar? retarded
syndicate? gay as fuck
The game has gone full schizo.
Don't agree?
2 fucking words.
TOWER DEFENSE

is there an english version yet? all the people that had korean accounts quit, so I'm not sure is that great. I

English version will be out in 2024.

What's a build can carry me hard? no currency investment (maximum 1ex), super faceroll that never dies, can clear all content, all map mods, all bosses without taking forever either. Not reliant on crafts or using hard to get gear from old content, preferably not meta, and being fun to play. Not mines, not summons, or spellsplinger.

champion cyclone you absolute spoon feeder

game got too bloated and they refuse to address the speed zoom zoom meta problem

Whatever build that is, be sure that it will be nerfed next league.

The New Atlas, easily. Sirus is such a horrible boss. Making you repeat it constantly is a great way to kill the player population.

The really fucked up in ditching the old atlas. They should have made two atlases, beat Uber Elder, then unlock the nu-atlas, but have a limited number of stones and make the maps scale appropriately (start new atlas in reds or something).

Harvest was a shitshow because its half a league. Harvest would have been a success if they had combined it with a sweeping change with new content, again probably revamped atlas. The new crafting is muuuch better, but it added no depth to the rest of the league.

earlier this week I did a 12 hour grind for uber hillock and oni goroshi
at least I think it was 12 hours. I can't be certain. it was hell
got it, needed it for a build
flicker strike is impossible on console it doesn't have predicitive something something lag whatever, it's broken
can't sell it because fags on console underbid everything, despite the rest of the prices on the market being 2ex
well that's enough of this league for me

Streamer focused game. Addiction focused genre. Chinese buyout. Tail wags dog.

I can't quite put a finger on it but the new Atlas made me dislike the game. Probably what was already said here It's such busywork having to do this every league. You can't make a system like this and then expect people to repeat it every 3 months what the fuck. The old mapping system was far better suited for a season format game.

Ive farmed for oni goroshi a collective of like 40 hours(not counting leveling time for 4 scions)
never got it

well yes you wouldnt want to have mirror tier items accessible to you easily.

The harvest mechanic is not the best but the crafting is god tier and I don't know how I can play the game without it come league end

this. and once you do elder theres no point in really playing the next league because it'll be the same except with a new spammable ability one-shotting the screen and a shitty new league mechanic.

I don't even understand what is going on. How is the new Atlas progression supposed to work? the game doesn't seem to explain anything to you and assumes you're a turbo neet who has played every league and watched hour long videos just to know the fuck you're supposed to play.

Would not recommend.
I leveled the 4 scions to just over level 8 each before the fucking thing dropped. Got 2 tabula rasas and a handful of other trash uniques. It's not worth it.
Unless you are 100% positive you need it for something, and it's going to be the best shit ever, it's a fucking nightmare and soul crushing even when you do get it.
Would not recommend.

yeah i really dislike the new atlas also, even understanding it it's fucking god awful to do and not as smooth as the old system
