Depends on options for splitting the 1 big into separate monitors. I want to run a game in full screen, but for an ultra wide, I don't want it being the entire screen, but just a chunk of it. When this isn't such a touch and go subject matter I'm sure a single large one will win out power, cable, and just ease of use (Not having to fuck around adjusting color on 2-3 monitors to make them 'match up', but there is something to be said as well for separate ones deliberately having different color balances to cross reference things.)
