Why don't more games have co-op modes?

Why don't more games have co-op modes?

cuz the division failed miserably

me on the left

unironically this is why i dont fuck with competitive games anymore. fuck team games and needing to depend on other people. if your game is good, youll give 1 person the capability to wipe an entire fucking squad by himself if he can get the upper hand. the arbitrary limits on damage and high time to kill are what make games like overwatch shit and games like counter-strike just a bit better.

mindless shooters like battlefield are infinitely and objectively more fun for this reason, if only they'd get rid of their shitty devs and hire people who actually care about making a decent game and not a piece of shit (but an inclusive one).

looking forward to bf2143. Hopefully theyll take some notes from titanfall devs and introduce mechs to an actual large battlefield without a huge focus on faggoty parkour and bullshit rapid fire grenade launchers that trivialize them

Exactly, team based shooters just don't go hand in hand with competitive modes, it's why OW died off so quickly

>let's go
Is there anything more zoomer than screaming this in a video game?

PVE is literally the same but with fagscore.

I learned it from daddy though

name some comfy coop games with this feel, need some stuff to play with my friends

Deep rock galactic

Wheres the silent chad/faggot in Teambased PVE?

>youll give 1 person the capability to wipe an entire fucking squad by himself if he can get the upper hand
that's fucking retarded. fuck ASSFAGGOTS and this retard mentality it spawned

Imagine unironicly using wojaks/facebookfrog in 2020

the fuck is a fagscore? also no it isnt; when you wipe in pve its not as big a deal unless you were a total fuckin sperg beforehand, in which case it'd be the same either way.

when a game literally forces you to depend on other people to beat a completely dynamic enemy (that maybe 1 or 2 people on a team of 5 or 6 has the critical thinking skills to beat) it's a way more insufferable experience for those 2 people on the losing team; because they have to [try to] carry deadweights harder than they should have to play to win; and most of the time, winning means actually just playing the game in general. if you need an entire team to kill a group of people you have the drop on, just because the game says "your headshot damage is >100% of their health and if it isn't, your fire-rate is slow as fuck" then the chances of you actually killing anyone in a shooter where this is the whole fucking point of the game basically is far lower than it should be

who the fuck mentioned assfaggots

Looks really fun from the steam page, ty for the suggestion i'll probably check it out at some point

you're fucking retarded. be aware of your surroundings and maybe you wont get wiped along with the rest of your faggoty team

Lol u mad that a solo chad wiped your shit team

>PvE
More like
>WTF user WHY DIDN'T YOU DO X IT'S YOUR FAULT WE WIPED
>xXx-D1(K_5U(K3R-xXx has initiated a votekick against user.

BTD6
Overwatch 2
Charlie Murder

Killing Floor 2 is alright.

it's also free to keep on Epic this week

Inaccurate. Communication with PVE pubs is akin to apathy. Nobody gives a shit about anyone else. Nobody gets mad yet nobody has passion. So they do nothing. Apathy is death. Worse than death, because at least a rotting corpse feeds the beasts and insects. That's why PVP games are so popular.

I like kf2. But it doesn't hold a candle to the original. It's a little strange that adding melee and sprint, opening the maps, and making it much easier makes it feel like a completely different series

Not that user, but
>shit team
That's exactly what we're talking about, you get a shit team and all goes to hell, can be one retard just throwing wrenches in all the plays.

Played that one a bit with friends earlier this year, not really a fan of that style of wave-based survival, I prefer l4d because of that even though kf2 has much better gunplay

which is why everyone else is saying if your game is good 1 person can carry the weight of everyone else by himself.

>pubs
>he doesn't have friends
its not that hard user just stop being autistic and find some people to game with

I prefer team based PVP games where there are more than 12 people on a team, like a chivalry or something

Co-op will forever be the best or second best experience video games can offer.

RPGs that offer co-op options are awesome.

Why were wojaks and reddit frogs necessary for this image

Friends fix most things, but friends alone won't keep a game alive. How many of the 33410 people playing Payday 2 right now know any of the other 33409 people playing? Maybe 5%?

>game is coop and pvp but is only fun when you play solo

Attached: dead-by-daylight.jpg (1920x1080, 462.93K)

> this is why i dont fuck with competitive games anymore
its not competitive games its 100% matchmaking
get rid of it and this shit goes away

>lets goooo
why do people say this
it makes me so mad

Insanely low TTk games were designed to allow shitters to feel good about themselves, it's why COD and Battlefield have such low TTKs. The most popular FPS in the world is a team-based shooter, the only reason OW failed was because the developers are retarded and don't know how to balance.

L4D2

>friends alone won't keep a game alive
does it really matter if a coop game is dead or alive if you have friends to play with though, a 4 player coop game could have 0 people online but if I've got 3 friends to play with what difference does it make?

>get rid of it and this shit goes away
I gave up that dream a long time ago.

>.RPGs that offer co-op options are awesome
Are there any turn based ones besides For the King?

divinity os?

Monster Hunter World
Vermintide 2
Divinity Original Sin 2
Souls like games

PvP games are popular because people want to feel validated in their completely useless abilities, even more useless and unimpressive than raw technical skill in a video-game that is wasted in games where they're arbitrarily limited in what they can do by themselves by the game itself.

They aren't popular because they're fun, they aren't; thats why everyone gets so fucking mad about them all the time and dooms over them every chance they get.
>"Why do I play this game?"
>"This game is ruining my life"
>"I hate this game"
>thousands of angry, salty memes about how theyre stuck in elo hell, or people being upset about what others on their team are doing because its responsible for their losses etc

do you know how much of this shit i see on a fucking hourly basis just by being friends with a couple of random ass people on the internet and lurking in their circles? they literally arent even for games i fucking play, but the sentiment is the same

people say this shit and actually fucking mean it but continue to play games like this because they feel like they have to even if they actually dont. it's like trying to lose weight or get a job except theres no fucking money at the end of it. its the literal equivalent of being some random high-school faggot who participated in the school sports and really, really wanted to be a professional football player or something but has absolutely no fucking chance of making any money off their abilities. for both men and women, they just want to feel like theyre good at something even if they arent

ooh, maybe Sweeny and Xinnie the pooh are pretty based after all

while i semi-agree, theres dozens of games that are built around match-making nowadays; so it wouldnt be possible to operate them based on that because they require specific team sizes and shit

if you were to go back to the days where people just played counter-strike in random servers and stuff, yes, i would say thats great. even the modded servers were

what percentage of league players would actually say they like the game, i'm willing to bet

A lot of people complain about L4D and TF2 MvM fags being total fags about the game

Absolutely redpilled

>PvP games are popular because people want to feel validated in their completely useless abilities
Single player games are much better at doing this though, in modern PvP games anyone who isn't in the top rank feels like they suck at the game, even though the top ranks are full of faggots who play for 12 hours a day and spend time on aim training

I actually agree with this and always strive to be that person. Still, i have to agree, starting off and having that one guy that ran shop wile I was trying to figure out wtf i'm supposed to do, does feel shitty. Like you're just a burden lol. i subscribe to the "git gud" philosophy myself.

because humans have a natural inclination to attempt to validate themselves through comparison to other humans.

>server based team pvp
>based, community centered, people, good mix of casual and sweaty having fun together, always the option of finding a server with sweats if you want to play comp
>auto queue and mmr based team pvp
>cringe, everyones fault but mine, ranked auto queue always becomes the default method of playing, creates cry baby mentality with nerfs

thats exactly my point. you could switch that with fucking virtually any competitive matchmade game and they'll say they fucking hate the game but continue to play it every fucking day. at the expense of their own health and personal relationships.

you can be addicted to something without it being fun

tf2 MvM only has so much faggotry because of people trying to farm for lootdrops
