I haven't played any Far Cry games...

I haven't played any Far Cry games, but why does the advertising always seem to focus on the villain and then in the actual game you play as some nobody? Wouldn't it make more sense for the villain to be the playable character if they're gonna put all that work into developing them?

>Wouldn't it make more sense for the villain to be the playable character
no, it would make more sense for the PC to work for the villain

This wasnt the case with older Far Crys. FC3 was so successful tho that now every FC is just a copy of it.

Vaguely this
3 was mad successful and had Vas, one of the coolest villians we have seen. The franchise has been trying to recapture that magic ever since. And as always, you never can.

It's a first person shooter

>And as always, you never can
>implying
Five was better than three story wise. Three just got big because it was the first proper mainstream title with collecting and crafting ect. ect.
Two is a better game but it wasn't mainstreamed like that.

>And as always, you never can.

Joseph Sneed sends his regards

>THE BOY IS VAS PLS BUY
lmao at ubisoft
yeah sure i will i buy this game when it comes probly but then forget about it for 10 years

The boy is Diego and the game takes place in modern day, he even has a smart phone

retard

lmaoooooooooooooo even harde on you
@dabbed

No user, YOU were the villain

Calm down, this isn't a good look.

>game finally gets set in south america
>black people even steal that

Because Farcry 3 started the trend and Ubishit aren't interested in changing the formula for the games or the advertising.

Giancarlo Esposito isn't black. Look at his name.

wow dude chill with the Argentinian targeted racism.

George floyd is a white name, even if you get into the really black shit like jaquan those are just eastern european white names that they coopted for some reason.

This is like if blacks finally got a game set in wakanda and it was all about some chinese guy.

My name and last name are spaniard but I'm not white.

You mean like this one?

The woolly mammoth is the main antagonist of the game, I don't see the contradiction.

But you do play as the villain in these games

Neither are Spaniards

can i side with the villain at least this time? im tired of leftist ""happy"" ending

I wanna support El Presidente.

Isn't the real problem that Ubisoft keeps pumping out these games every year instead of giving them some time in the oven to cook? They took a break from Assassin's Creed and came back with one of the best games in the series. Ubisoft's problem is they're always rushing things.

>Five was better than three story wise
wrong
>Two is a better game but it wasn't mainstreamed like that.
right

>Vas, one of the coolest villians we have seen

Far Cry 5 was in development for 4 years, starting development after Far Cry 4 released in 2014. Far Cry 6 has been in development since 2016. 5 was Montreal. 6 is by Toronto.

Yes, the Persona way

Thanks

Vaas was so shit lmao

Far Cry games are all pretty damn light on story. It's basically just been Rambo games since 3. Dumb action in the 3rd world. So the setting and campy villain are what sell it.

And that's why they're so inconsistent, they keep giving them to different studios instead of sticking with one.

Is it? I got bored pretty quick.

Lol, no. 5 was made in a little over 2 years. The director of the game only worked on it for 2 years
