Someone post the gif. you know the one

Flipendo is a low tier combat spell, screaming it makes no sense in this context when all you did is add lighting to a sprite. The spell you're looking for is "lumos". You dumb fuck.

haha looks like he's taking a lil dump

It looks good as its own thing. I don't think this'd work in a game format, the palette would be a bit distracting.

HIGHER

In the event someone wants to know what that's actually showing is the use of two 16x16 sprites with a 4-color palette (3 visible colors + 1 transparency) each to create a single character with an 8-color palette this technique was fairly common near the end of the NES's life and someone was demonstrating what it'd look like if you applied that same technique to SMB.

THERE GOES A MAN WITH ARTISTIC VISION...

>this technique was fairly common near the end of the NES's life
It wasn't that common considering it caused massive sprite flicker when it was put to use. The most popular and well known example of this technique are the Mega Man games.
Most other games just split the sprites into two halves rather than overlay them, like Contra.

Is correct
Is wrong and doesn't know what he's talking about.

>Is wrong and doesn't know what he's talking about.
Where exactly am I wrong? We literally said the exact same thing with the exception of its wide usage.

Gonna request you go fast as possible

>Where exactly am I wrong?
Everything you said. Educate yourself next time.

So you're disputing that
1) Mega Man is not an overlay of 2 sprites, with the face being a different sprite from the rest of the character.
2) Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are not made up of a top half sprite and a bottom half sprite.
Can you go ahead and confirm that the above is not true.
