The one where you post images like this on Zig Forums
Or anything on Zig Forums, really

Well every game that Zig Forums enjoys obviously.

your favorite game

What is the actual difference between having fun and believing you are having fun biologically

Breath of the Wild
Death Stranding
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Monster Hunter World

ASSFAGGOTS and gachashit

Games that don't offer any actual emotional stimulation whatsoever because they are vapid, hold your hand, lack nuance or creative vision, and appear to be created by talentless hacks. So, you know, like 90% of videogames. Mobile games especially.

Dark Souls 2

Every multiplayer FPS
MOBAs
Any Ubisoft game after AC: Black Flag
Other assorted things I don't like

whichever video games give you the most attention on Zig Forums because this is bait engineered for threads that are nothing more than shitposting and arguments.
I am very smart.

literal cope

What IS fun? How do you define actual fun?

It's like smoking cigarettes, your mind says no but your brain says yes

One is an engaging and memorable experience that makes you feel a wide range of emotions, the other is the equivalent of getting drunk or smoking weed and then staring at a metronome for an hour until the high goes away and you forgot what you were just doing

Grinding games like warframe, destiny, monster hunter world

Many survival games

Overwatch

Probably type and amount of hormones your brain produces including Serotonin, Dopamine, Oxytocin, Endorphins. While OP is shitposting I think there's an obvious difference between truly enjoying something as an individual because it simply suits you and forcing yourself to enjoy something because you're a normie drone who is easily persuaded by peer pressure and trends, all while trying to justify those $60 you've spent.

So this is the definition of bullshit, huh.

Getting drunk or high most of the time is actually fun tho. Grinding for 30 hours straight just so you can get shiny numbers on an RPG isn't.

Ok

This desu

Skinner.
Boxes.

Fun is fun. You can't say fun isn't fun

What is the difference between nu-fun and actual fun?

Fun is a meaningless buzzword in this context.

why go through this much mental gymnastics
some people find different kinds of games fun
gamers are such little bitches

It literally activates the same exact neurons and chemical receptors in your brain, though at least with weed/alcohol there are fun things you can do while on it, it just isn't fun by itself.

So all games? My night went from playing shadow warrior 2 because the trailer for 3 looked cool. Realizing I probably wont play it because I dont want to get another console and my pc is fried because electrical fire. Researching a budget micro atx build for 500 pounds, the tax put it almost 150 pounds over my budget since I'm unemployed I cant really afford it anyways to researching suicide success rates and ways to axe myself. Anyways fuck this gay world. I'm tired of stressing over basic necessities and trying to have fun and have hobbies feels like a prison anons so later

believing is a conscious mental process, you argue to yourself why the game is fun.

having fun is a pure state of flow where you are zoned in and experience the joy of gameplay.

Pokemon

Yakuza: fun
Uncharted: nu-fun

Any game where you keep playing because you feel like you "invested" something into the game, whether it is time or money. MMO's are horrible for this especially P2W ones because you have this delusional that your account is actually worth something

LoL

Death Stranding

All videogames.

underrail.

Fallout 76

Literally ANY competitive Multiplayer game

Wrong.
If you play shitty only games for their social interactions while having no real friends - you're simply lonely, you're not having fun, you're just preventing depression from kicking in.
If you play games on their release day, paying $60+ for them while being a paid beta tester you aren't having fun, you're just a drone terrified of being an outsider, you play games as a social event.

If you play games that you pirated or bought on some $5 sale in their entirety, even after everyone moved on and forgot about them - Then and only then, you truly enjoyed a game because of your individual preferences. You had fun, you did something you truly enjoy in your free time.

But people don't find that fun, so why call it any kind of fun at all. It's work.

Competitive shooters. The fun is abusing your dopamine to make you think you are getting better at something, despite it being completley useless. Repition for hundreds of hours doing the same fucking shit.

Gachas, Asian gambling MMOs like BDO, MOBAs.

For example
>I don't really want to play this game of "LoL" but I bought this 19.95 skin and I want to get "value" out of it

shitty-only games or only shitty games?

typing all this shit out is pretty yikes bro

I am convinced nobody actually has fun playing a MOBA. Especially Dota 2. Every single person in that game sounds miserable as fuck.

snoy movies and other triple a open world collectathons

MMORPGs

--- Power gap ---

Third person shooters
MOBAs
Class-based FPS
Fighting games
Turn based strategy
JRPGs
WRPGs
VNs and walking simulators
Puzzle platformers
Looter shooters

One lets me feel superior to others without having to explain why or having that superiority questioned while complaining on the internet.

Destiny and Diablo 3
