Hi, I am secretly the best way of playing 2D platformers.

Any control scheme where movement is done with the right hand is shit.

>same feedback from all buttons
No.

movement on WASD, jump on space, everything else on UIOJKL
By far the best way to play 2d platformers

Yeah because you can use multiple fingers and change directions faster. It's the same thing with fighting games.

jesus christ no

>left hand on arrow keys
>right hand on the letter keys
not even joking and i wonder if anyone else here does that.
my brain is incapable of movement controls with the right hand, probably because of WASD.
but then again, putting movement on WASD and other functions somewhere else on 2D games also doesn't work for me.

>inb4 just use a controller
2D games with stick controls are even worse for me.

you can probably train yourself out of that

how easy is it to build something like this yourself?
200 dollarydoos seems a bit steep

Play true roguelikes with the numpad to train yourself to be movement ambidextrous.

>stick controls
there's a D-pad on controllers you know.

>weeb
>retarded
like pottery

Id agree with you if it was literally any other nintendo controller

>2D games with stick controls
Are you legitimately braindead? Are you unironically so much of a zoomer you don't know what that thing in a "+" shape on the controller does?
Jesus fuck.

I built my own. You don’t save much money. Getting a cheap case is difficult.

damn, i guess i'll just cough up the cash when i get the chance
really hoping they're as comfortable as they look

This is how I play 2D games.

C = Jump
X = shoot/melee
Z = Action
Shift = run

Very comfy

>game uses QWE/ASD instead of ASD/ZXC

I have my left hand on the keyboard and my right on the controller. Perfect responsiveness.

If you must use a keyboard for 2D platformers, use WASD for movement and the numpad as your face buttons.

Let me guess, you're Asian and you play cross-armed?

how old are you?
serious question

>game uses QW/AS/ZX
ah the joy of emulation

>secretly
I haven't played anything but online multiplayer games on my PC in years.
But what other control schemes do people us now?

d pad is stiff

You're not alone. I played Grand Chase that way, with the up arrow as jump. Made ottoshotting a cinch.

ESDF masterrace

using my thumb doesn't even compare to using three fingers to control the movement
try playing touhou with the dpad or any 2d castlevania
27
explain how this is a factor

>any 2d castlevania
Those were literally designed for dpads, retard
Get a non-shit controller

worst controller ever, period

i have a ps4 one nigger

the autism is strong on this one
