WHAT THE HELL DO I BUILD I GAMING PC? there are so many different CPUS/GPUS NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MIND CAN GIVE ME A GOOD IDEA DON'T BUY THIS PROCESSOR BECAUSE THE NEW ONES COME OUT NEXT MONTH, THAT ONE IS TOO HIGH WITH THE 3300X OUT RIGHT NOW I CANT JUSTIFY BUYING A 4000Y I FEEL LIKE STFU YOU CHODE BLOWING MOTHERFUCKERS.
SOMEONE with a rational outlook can you give me a good idea on a gaming PC for less then 600 dollars.
just shut up and buy rx 570 is good card if you want 1080/60fps although not all newer games will run on it AI heard i5 2500k is still good, maybe 2600 get 10/12 gigs of Ram here cheap PC
Xavier Martinez
just get a prebuild
Lucas Thomas
>gaming PC for less then 600 dollars Buy a console
Gavin Nguyen
Total trash
Carson Scott
What a fucking stupid comment. Actually delete yourself.
Henry King
I'm thinking of upgrading as well.
Suggestions on parts please.
My comp is roughly 8 years old, but still performs ok.
Should I change motherboard as well?
Aaron Reed
Dont cheap out but dont break the bank either. Spending ~200 dollars more is the difference between not feeling the need to upgrade for 4 years compared to 1 or 2.
but it also depends on what you mean by "gaming pc", an AMD 3200G or 3400G with some decently quick memory (3000MHz+) can handle most games with the integrated graphics in a playable manner and doesn't break the bank.
Muh 1600x still running strong. All faggot friends who bought into IMMA STREAM AND DO ALL THIS OTHER SHIT TOO went total overkill. for an extra $1000
Gavin Evans
dude im also running the R5 1600X paired with the RTX2060 and i dont think i will have to upgrade anytime soon. lmaoing @ faggots who overpay for their shit
Lincoln Long
>a gaming PC for less then 600 dollars Do you have any parts that you can reuse from your current PC? That's a very limited budget so you'll have to make some compromises so it would be best if you can take hard drives, SSDs, maybe even the PSU from your old PC.
There's also a dedicated thread for this in
Lucas Diaz
1600(x) is utter trash for games, hell first and second gen ryzen generally are.
go to PC part picker and use their recommended as a baseline, look up what those parts can do and decide if you'd like something more don't waste money thinking about aesthetics for your first build, you want something you can use, pimp it out later if you really give a shit as your parts can just be transferred to a new case later
Jack Williams
You are confusing Zig Forums with google, faggot
Jackson Evans
Please don't be a retard and do not buy the 3300X. I don't say wait for Ryzen 4000, but at least get a R5 3600. 4 cores 8 threads in 2020 is a waste of money.
>3200G or 3400G NO. 3300x is pretty much the best budget CPU right now. This is a good testament to its power. It's just slightly behind intel's last gen 9600K which still costs like 100 bucks more than 3300x.
Chase Perez
advice when building a gaming PC: don't believe the price to performance meme, it's a computer that needs to perform rigorous simulations, not a takeout pizza.
Matthew King
ryzen besides 3rd gen sucks ass
Hunter Myers
This is true to a point. You need to reach some minimum level of performance so that it doesn't feel like a waste. The more you spend there's definitely diminishing returns and sometimes spending in the wrong place can mean that you won't get the most out of your system because its bottlenecked by something you cheaped out on.
>SOMEONE with a rational outlook can you give me a good idea on a gaming PC for less then 600 dollars. That's not even remotely possible in my country. Where the fuck do you live that you expect a decent computer for modern video games to cost less than the price of a current gen console plus a couple of games? Consumer video game hardware isn't cheap.
Jose Johnson
>10/12 gigs of Ram nigger what
Logan Harris
Ryzen 3600 and 1660 Super is all you need for an upgrade. 16 gb RAM of course. Potentially wait for geforce 20 series discount later.
Ayden Miller
dont build now
Juan Reyes
The only difficult thing to pick is the gpu. CPU doesn't matter that much for gayming. You should buy the mid CPU of current gen (ryzen 5 or i5) what costs less. Mobos are full of bullshit that you will never care about. Just check that it's compatible with the cpu. Ram just go with 16 gb or 32 if you have money to waste. There are some brands that are better to avoid but most likely you won't even stumble on them. Frequency is for autists like me and it really doesnt give that much of a boost. Psu is simple Case just pick whatever you like. Check reviews for airflow if the room is usually hot. Ssd again are whatever. You won't notice much of a boost between different ones with games.
Owen Torres
Just pulled the trigger on a PowerColor Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB. My MSI R9 390 recently died after having issues for a while. Pretty keen for this upgrade and hope it lasts another ~5 years.
Jordan Hill
>yeah, but on price to performance you're getting way more with the AMD xxxx! >follow anons advice >save 80 bucks and feel really proud of myself for a day >have to spend next 2 years having games run like shit when all I had to do was not order pizza for 2 months
This is how you end up with an underperforming fire hazard.
Hudson Sanders
Oh psu is simple but don't fucking skimp on it because you'll end up fucking everything up. Get at least gold rated
Liam Taylor
All you need today is a R5 3600+decent aftermarket cooler because the stock one is a pile of shit, a GTX 1660 Super and 16 gigs of at least 3000, better 3200 RAM to be set for a couple of years.
Grayson Taylor
Swap the ram to 2x8gb sticks. Ram is cheap now. I was using 8gb of ram playing warzone while some applications running on my 2nd monitor. Grab a 1tb nvme ssd for $115. You'll still be in budget.
Nolan Brown
PC gaming is pretty underwhelming, the performance costs doesn't offset the fact most triple A titles are optimized to run on 2013 hardware. My build ran me pretty steep, and the best thing about my computer is probably the monitor. Best thing about a PC is that I pirate my games, can reformat, modify my file system, decode 8k video (my monitor only 1080p, but gets 240 Hz, and is HDR10 capable) Pros >Piracy >better graphics >emulation >plugable storage Cons >microsoft sucks shit >expensive >new games suck
Oliver Parker
user I realize you're coping hard, but that's so far below the next gen consoles it really isn't going to stay relevant for more than a year.
Cameron Hall
>more than a year Bait. These components will give you decent performance for at least 3 years.
Jordan Murphy
Post specs
Samuel Baker
ryzen was truly a meme until 3000 series I went from 6600k to 3900x and haven't regretted it one bit
Luis James
Doubt.
Jeremiah Morgan
Just wait a month man, AMD is releasing their next generation. Price will drop on old shit or you can buy the next gen
haha imagine if someone got baited to build shit computers based on Zig Forums advice
Sebastian Taylor
there is literally no downside to buying AMD ryzen 3 cpus tho?
Wyatt Gutierrez
The 4650G looks fucking fantastic. It's a R5 3600 with better IPC and graphics for probably the same price point.
Mason Gray
>4000 in the name >it's actually a 3000 series CPU why do all of these companies suck in the branding so bad?
Justin Evans
>shill for consoles that will still be shittier than toaster >it's ok! cope as much as you want! top kek enjoy your post-purchase rationalization
Parker Russell
>no downside to buying AMD ryzen 3 cpus tho I have a 8700k, Ryzen 3rd gen is a downgrade for games. Plus in the usual AMD fashion there are some old games that won't start/won't work properly on AMD.
Tyler Reed
This. "Cheapish" pc's are more a hassle then consoles and your performance wont be that much better. Just wait for a xbox sex or ps5 at this point. PC's are rad, but you need to be spending at least 1k at this point. At specs lower then that you'll be tweaking every modern game and you'll start lying about perfomance on /v. I'm looking at you "my 970 runs RDR2 ultra at 60"
Joshua Rogers
it's a bad time to buy. whatever you get now you're going to be disappointed with by the end of the year. otherwise get the 3300x and stop crying.
Owen Ross
>buy the mid CPU of current gen (ryzen 5 or i5) what costs less. The other day I had a look at the current CPUs being sold online and it was an alien experience. The last time I looked at CPUs, it was all Pentiums, i3/i5/i7 alongside FX and A6/8/10 offers and now it's all i9s and something called Ryzen. Intel has also switched places with AMD and went full moar cores.
>those boost clocks anyone trying to convince you that AMD are for current gen gaming are paid advertisers
Luis Butler
user both of the next gen consoles are quite a bit faster than your budget build. I know it's hard to admit, especially after getting memed into building a cheapo machine by resident Zig Forumstards, but it's the truth.
Jackson Gray
Intel had to because AMD absolutely assraped them with Ryzen and exposed how overpriced and old Intel's shit is.
Elijah Gomez
AMD might be the worst at sensible naming. I half wonder if they end up skipping 4XXX for proper Zen 3, makes it line up with the motherboard numbers I guess?
Nathaniel Peterson
High end ryzens beat it but there's no point in upgrading because it's such a small jump. You can probably make do with that for a gen or two more.
Henry Murphy
Nvidia is fucking terrible too and Intel really isn't much better. i9 10900k really?
But with AMD misbranding those G line processors it's gotta be the worst I've seen in a while. It's pure false advertising and ignorant people get fooled into buying a generation old CPU.
