It's ugly. Maybe the rest could have been salvaged if not for this simple truth

Yes. Although to be fair the some of the worst of it was the first level. It makes a HORRIBLE first impression. Then you have the dumb AI companions and everything.

I tried to play it in order to answer that question. And the answer is.

Yes.

Its hard to believe it was released "after" Quake, considering how junky it feels.

It's unfinished, on top of just being shit. It would probably have been rightfully forgotten were it not for the hype and advertising campaign. Just proof Romero is a useless hack without Carmack.

So right when I saw this thread, my youtube page autoplayed some daikatana review. What are the odds, huh? Isn't that weird? haha

Maybe if you had played it, you would have something of substance to add to the conversation.

people say the GB version was good
maybe he should develop for Switch

I have. It's an ugly ugly game. The jank would still have been bad but it wouldn't be an eyesore.

low iq brain instructed fingers typed this post
go back to watching youtube videos from ggmanlies

Yes, although the 1.3 fan patch really polished the turd and makes it actually playable

Stay mad that the game looks like shit and covered in green vomit I guess??? What a weird fucking thing to get pissy over

nail polish on men makes me legitimately sick

Please just be friends with Carmack again so you can make more cool games.

Could be pure coincidence, I wouldn't worry about it.

Go make Black Room you fraud cuck

How is his wife's black son doing?

More like Dykekatana

It's so bad it tanked a company that should have been the best company in existence.

If Daikatana wasn't abhorrently shitty, then Deus Ex as we know it wouldn't have been made.

LIterally all the other games made by the same company are better than its flagship title.

Nobody knows because nobody played it.

That's actually sad because as a hack as he was he brought legitimately talented people to work there.

I played it though.

It was total shit. It runs like garbage on hardware from its era too.

He brought in a shitload of modders who had never made an actual game before. He ended up firing half and the other half walked out on him.

Deus Ex was the silver lining in Ion Storm
you must have hated the early-mid 2000s

Warren Spector and Tom Hall made good games while in there.

He also let Warren Spector make the game of his dreams and I can forgive quite a lot for that.

It's probably a lot better in hindsight, considering how low modern standards have dropped.

Nah, its problems are fairly alien to the problems of modern games but it still sucks like it's trying to win a prize.

yes

Why is a man wearing ladies' nail polish? Is he a lady?

It can be unironically fun playing coop but the braindead AI destroys the single player experience.

This lady is going to make you his bitch

The ancient and medieval levels are actually fine, anything involving the future and/or rocket launchers is a steaming pile of ass.
