What’s the appeal of League of Legends?
Hello I'm here for the yordles
It's free and it runs on any pc
You can turn off your brain and blame others when you mess up
true but in order to play well, you need to be able to play over 30fps in shit like teamfights and playing well in general. There's a reason all the third worlders are in shit elos
>There's a reason all the third worlders are in shit elos
They literally aren't capable of comprehending this themselves, so it's fine.
Based
You get so addicted that you can't stop playing this absolute trash
based
cringe
A PC that can't run the game well must be from the fucking 90's or something, it wasn't demanding even back in 2009
it's the kinda game thats extremely fun if it's your first time playing a moba. easy to get addicted and you'll end up playing it for months wanting to learn everything about it. it's only after you've learned the game that you see it for the shitshow that it is.
its dota on easy mode.
I just stack on nasus all game to see a big number when I q turrets
Or dota with tolerable controls
I dunno when I used to play it on my shitty work laptop before I got my PC I was playing at a consistent 30fps with drops during teamfights after I came home to my PC and was playing 100+ fps my performance as a player notably improved. Laptop was from 2016 or something iirc
nope just a casual version of dota, nothing more.
I haven't played LoL in ages but what makes the control scheme different?
Its DOTA without the pressure. You can just queue up as a specific role and not have to worry about anything.
Dota for Koreans
it's fun, matches are based solely on your ability and not extraneous garbage like grinding (well, for champs, but you know what I mean), and it's significantly more high octane than, say, pubg where there's 4-5 minutes of downtime throughout an entire 20 minute match.
ARAM and URF
The regular game mode is deliberately made unfun for casual and ranked play in favor of tournaments.
Its alot fun if you don't get an ego and feel super upset when you lose or let flaming retards get to you.
>nothing more
Except probably the number of players, money it makes and characters.
I don't think LoL is the better game btw, just that it's obvious why it went much further than Dota or why dota is mostly played by subhumans or angry people
It's just simple and more straightforward. Dota has stuff like turnrates, longer cooldowns,
a lot of invisible power and many small mechanica that aren't clear at first glance and make the whole thing much more confusing when you start.
Tbh its side modes are quite fun. Often I just play Urf, Aram or other event modes with friends.
>matches are based solely on your team not to feed like fucking morons.
ftfy
What's the appeal of any fucking shit MOBA? Oh, right, to be a fucking asshole griefer and cheapass player and destroy noobs trying to play that pile of shit for the first time.
Free and runs well (even on the shitiest of PCs
But after a while, people realise that: Farming for 20 min in order to get to the “fun” part isn’t worth it
Because it feels so fucking good to kill people in this game. Simple as that. I stopped playing long ago but I haven't played many, if any other game where it feels as good to be absolutely smashing fools the way it feels in LoL. Dota can feel nearly as good, but League's kills are so fast and cheesy. Feels way better to point at someone and they fucking explode when you're 6/1 on Talon or some retarded shit
Mastering a champion.
I mean, you can always team up with other people if randoms are too shit. I tend to do okay with randoms, though I do play mid so I've got a bit more control on the pace of things, and ability to apply pressure.
>not worry about anything
if only you knew how bad things really are
That's mechanics not controls. But I agree with you that it's a lot more straightforward as you say. I think a difference in the controls in LoL and Dota is how you never have to utilize controls for several controllable units in LoL.
The only true answear.

This game is legit video game crack, it gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows, getting fed and completely demolishing the enemy team and then watching your team throw the match for you can both happen within a 20 minute timeframe. It's an addictive model that plays on your dopamine rushes from winning trades and other scenarios
The same appeal dota and any other team game like CS and TF2 has you bandwagoning zoomshit.
I hate how being popular and associated with esport/streamer cancer is enough to make Zig Forums hate an entire genre for no fucking reason.
I feel the same about fortnite. I see so much bitching about building and all I can think is people never bothered to learn how to build themselves. All you have to do is learn to crank 90s and you can make 12 year olds cry. It totally revitalized my inbox. It's like I was back in 2008 playing modern warfare on 360 with all the hatemail
