Deltarune is full of soul, maybe even more than undertale.

When a person is successful, it inspires you to be successful as well. It's no different than saying "if he could do it, it means I can do it as well".

Well yes, its dangerous to idolise a human being but the persona they exude out to the world is perfectly fine to idolise.
Even if theyre the most basedboy and then you find out they did some bad things later, you can still idolise that early persona that inspired you.

I love stories like Toby's, not the Sakurai and Pokemon parts but just one guy making something he wanted and being rewarded it for it externally and not just personal satisfaction. The cash is one thing, but the drive is admirable.

He actually started developing Deltarune first, gave up because it was too hard and then went on to develop Undertale.
It's why there are some similar feeling story beats between Chapter 1 and Undertale.
