How did he do it?

The actual gameplay bits sucked, I wish it was just a straight VN

by catering to brainlets
Somnium files is almost as bad as ZTD

I don't remember Somnium Files having 900 plot holes and a non-closure ending.

ai somnium files is morbid trash clearly. the director probably made it as a joke after getting mad over people demanding everything to be explained logically in the nonary franchice.

Id say somnium files was worst than ztd

I finished all of the left branches available to me besides the locked one, and i was really dragging myself through it. That was months ago
Not gripping at all so far, even ZTD had better hook even if it's was irredeemable trash.
I should get back and finish it but it's so fucking boring

The only thing that "hooked" me with ZTD was how it got progressively awful it got, from aliens and time traveling to Carlos going ultra instinct.
I didn't really feel bored by Somnium inversely, despite even starting on the left path as well.

(some)good characters wasted on a trash game.

It's a huge upgrade in terms of presentation from ZTD but otherwise I thought it was just okay. The somnium sections were pretty weak gameplay-wise and were essentially trial and error, had some funny/cool moments but not a good replacement for the escape-the-room puzzles. The flowchart felt obligatory and like an inferior copy of VLR's. The action scenes were fucking retarded.

Maybe worth playing if you can get it at a discount but it's not the peak of the genre by any means.

>tfw not the best detective

>The actual gameplay bits sucked,
>Point and click game
Huh?

Are you being retarded on purpose?

VLR > AI > 999 > Trash > ZTD

>Make vague statement about dislike in a game genre that generally has low amounts of gameplay
>"Are YOU being retarted?"
What??

Not him, but Somnium has gameplay sections that aren't just point and click.

>VLR that high
>999 that low
It's shit.

Why do they dance at the end, 0/10

Music was good
Aiba is cute
Characters were good (fuck ota)
Action scenes were pure cringe
Somiums were fun
FUCK Idol dance and childhood flashback in every route
Last dance scene was very good

>get one of the best experiences out of the medium
it's comparable to a shitty anime but it's nothing outstanding.

Hello newfag. This is an anonymous imageboard.

Question: Do you think The Secret of Monkey Island and The Walking Dead have the same gameplay?

kagata?

VLR is one of the best games of all time though

kodaka

my boyfriend

Right, like that FPS section. And then that section where you play Magic the Gathering. Completely forgot all about those non-adventure game areas.

>Do you think The Secret of Monkey Island and The Walking Dead have the same gameplay?
Answer: Yeah, basically. You kind of confirm this by being intelligent enough to hone in on the fact that the games are similar in spirit and genre that you compared them instead of comparing something like Mario and Starcraft.

>MtG section
wait what
where was it?

>mystery VN
>mystery gets solved because the Senator for no fucking reason decides to go visit the crime scene days after the murder and Date also happened to go there for no fucking reason
>main villian's actions are nonsensical and he only does stuff so there can be twists
>Date for some reason remembers other timelines but it never gets expanded upon beyond "lol he can do it"
Really good stuff Uchikoshi

>mystery gets solved because the Senator for no fucking reason decides to go visit the crime scene days after the murder and Date also happened to go there for no fucking reason
Hitomi called So there, and Date was tracking his main phone after learning who the burner belonged to.
>main villian's actions are nonsensical and he only does stuff so there can be twists
He swapped first just to see what the fuck it was all about, and all his actions after that were solely to get revenge on Date and get his body back.
>Date for some reason remembers other timelines but it never gets expanded upon beyond "lol he can do it"
Yeah I can't defend that, but compared to other bullshit Uchi has written in the past, it's at least not nearly as offensive. Given all the excessive exposition they gave everything else, they could have at least tied those sorts of memories together other than bringing Iris say "parallel universes" whenever it was convenient.

>>mystery gets solved because the Senator for no fucking reason decides to go
Stopped reading here, honestly. The opinion of someone with legit autism that can't understand human emotions, especially in a VN, isn't worth the time reading or educating.

Yoshikito Kakita?

Your post is so retarded that i feel compelled to chime in and tell you as well.

>Hitomi called So there, and Date was tracking his main phone after learning who the burner belonged to.
I'm talking about the moment where Date and Aiba are completely out of leads and just wander into the Pier without even know what they could be looking for, and there they find the Senator that for some reason is getting back into his car
>He swapped first just to see what the fuck it was all about
yeah, by ripping out HIS FUCKING EYEBALL just so he could check if he could swap bodies with a fat and old bald man that he had just beat up
>and all his actions after that were solely to get revenge on Date and get his body back.
After living inside a body with a sane brain for decades that felt empathy and normal emotions

>that can't understand human emotions
Because the Senator with a psychopath son that he lets kill people freely with a gang of criminals is a very emotional guy right?
