Persona 4 shadow reaction >NOOOO UR NOT ME!! THIS CANT BE HAPPENING!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Persona 2 shadow reaction >You have a point but despite that I will keep going forward anyway. If you want to stop me then I will not hesitate to fight you
Why do Persona 4 cast have such weak mental strengths? They can't even beat their shadows!
Heck the shadows in Persona 2 have their own free wills and can summon personas themselves.
>hey you're kind of a garbage person >n-no >fight shadow >I guess I have some shit to work on vs >Hey you're kind of tired of being a goody two-shoes >Yeah you're right fuck this >fight bad guy >Wow being a phantom thief is so cool
makes sense
Nathaniel Adams
>not embracing it

Reddit wojaks are more funnier than Zig Forums ones, I think.
Juan Butler
P4 fags are the most insufferable of the bunch. The cast barely have any characterisation beyond "my shadow bad". It plays out like a self insert fantasy which is why you faggots like it.
Xavier Morgan
I didn't play 2, but wasn't most of the cast young adults while 4 was a bunch of shitty teenagers?
Luis Morris
P4 awakenings were just a really shitty way of giving the party members some "character development". I remember thinking the awakenings were really good when I first played the game but replaying it with P4G made me realize that they're pretty stupid. I actually prefer P3/P5's normal awakenings where they just awaken in a situation where they really need it.

>shadow tells your friends that you fap to gay fuury futa porn >gets stronger when you deny it >only upon acceptance do they gain the persona like the jung mythology
opposed to >woooah my pupils are dilating heres a thief inspired persona cause were thieeves
Hudson Morris
There were a couple adults but P2's cast was still mostly high schoolers
Josiah Rivera
Its more annoying that in P4 all these dialogues are the same on every shadow encounter How about you just tell you new nigga >Hey there will be a falla looking just like you he will start taunting dont let him provoke you but nooo they wait for the last possible moment to yell >dont say the "you are not me" word! quality japanese writing
Jeremiah Barnes
2 out of the 6 party members in P2IS are young adults, the other 4 are teenagers. P2EP is mostly adults.
Eli Foster
Only in First-week sales Also, between P4, Golden, two animes, P4 Arena and Ultimax, Dancing All Night, and all the character goods you'd be hard-pressed to argue that P4 doesn't dominate all other SMT properties.
Adam Mitchell
It was. Persona 4 was literally everywhere among weebs and there was a shit ton of OC for it compared to any other Persona game. It was pretty much THE game for most weebs that made them experience japanese anime school life through vidya.

>reddit filename >reddit spacing of course

Are you retarded? The only reason they even face their shadows is because they're thrown into the TV and the party doesn't reach them until the shadow is already confronting them.
Joseph Long
>High school age child >Feel isolated >Girl you were pining for is murdered >Somewhere in your heart of hearts you're happy this happened because it's entertaining
I could see this fuck with someone much more than
>Asshole rapist wants to kill you and new cripple friend >You wanna beat his ass, right?
P4 is pretty much the only Persona game where personas are awakened that way. P1 and 2 they're given to people by Philemon, in P3 characters just have an innate potential that allows them to summon personas and P5 they're a manifestation of a character's frustration, except for Futaba who awakens to hers like the P4 cast does.
P4 is the only one where they try to make their characters seem deep, and fail at it, by doing this bullshit. It feels like ass too because characters are too quick to recognize and accept their shortcomings and it just feels cheap.
Julian Thomas
I mean that could be trueI havent played 4 in a long time. 1,2,3 all made sense with awakening to me but 5 was just silly. It didnt make sense for their awakenings to all happen to be thieves from various time periods either. What was even the point of Futabas?
William Allen
Also going to add on that Futaba's awakening is done in a significantly better way than pretty much all the P4 awakenings too. It doesn't feel rushed or cheap since it's a culmination of like an entire arc.
Nathan Davis
Also your shadow self in the TV world is literally a personification of every facet of your personality that you try to deny. Also, the cast are all teenagers who aren't exactly known for being the most emotionally stable people around. So it's not exactly too much of a stretch to think that tennagers confronted with the version of themselves they try to hide (e.g. closeted kanji with the tough-guy biker facade being shown a super flamboyant version of himself) would freak out and reject their shadow self.
The personas you get in P4 are about sterength to accept who you really are.
Personas in P5 are about having a "spirit of rebellion", i.e. willingness to strand up to authority and try to do what they think is right.
Dylan Nelson
P3 was literally just stand user logic
>you can use one because uhhhh you're cool and special
Bentley Allen
it has to do with emotions though
Daniel Hall
Yeah, even a dog can have one.
Christian Turner
This shit is so stupid. You can make anything sound retarded by typing in a meme format like that. >P3 >MUH DEATH >P4 NOOOOO I'M NOT A BAD PERSON OKAY NEVERMIND I AM >P5 Adults BAD Why not instead choose to accept others like a game and it is also fine for you to not like it.
