God mode, the game.
Before you complain about the game punishing you for killing - you can murder over a hundred people through the campaign and still get the best ending, you just need to know what you're doing
it sucks
stealth is boring
Some people try a pacifist + no alert run on their first play through. Don't do this, unless you're ready to reload over and over. Enjoy your first playthrough doing stuff your way and save the other run for later.
One of the best games of it’s generation.
Suck my dick, haters.
Depends on whether you're a retard or not. It's a great game, actually realizes vidya's strength is narrative via gameplay, and the universe is kino. Don't ever bother with the sequels, they're PROTOTYPE levels of fuck-up.
Don't do nonlethal for your first play through, do it for your second playthrough when you want to see what the game would have been like just crawling through vents
I wanted to like this game, but nothing in it ever "gripped" me. It was kinda fun in the gameplay department but after awhile I found myself just going through the motions.
I beat it in one sitting and never looked at it again, overall I still dont know whether I liked it or not.
Dishonored 2 is as good as the first one.
The only things it does bad is ruining the lore and running like shit on all platforms.
Death of the Outsider is garbage, though, except the bank level.
There is nothing wrong with Dishonored 2, what the fuck.
play it with no blink/no powers/no double jump and the difficulty settings pushed to the max for a comfy semi-thief experience. That's my advice.
Good opinion followed by absolute dogshit opinion, never change Zig Forums.
how is it running on ps4 today? It can't be as bad as the catastrophic pc version right?
>The only things it does bad is ruining the lore and running like shit on all platforms.
And also it's blurry as fuck with TXAA. Fortunately my PC with 2070S is strong enough to bruteforce to downsample from 4K (with dynamic resolution) with TXAA and it looks pretty fucking amazing, but yeah, it needs few hops.
The higher resolution the effects of TAA or TXAA are less visible, and it's pretty much mandatory to avoid shimmering.
As I said, PROTOTYPE 2 levels of fucking garbage. What few gameplay QoL improvements it had doesn't warrant playing it over 1 when literally everything else is worse. There's a reason Colantonio made the better game, PREY, then left the studio.
It's good, but the only way to have real fun with it is to play on max difficulty without buying any powers. Playing stealth/nonlethal is also extremely tedious thanks to the janky AI, don't do it.
Solid immersive sim that frequently rewards creativity and ingenuity. Your mileage may vary with the story.
Go for a non-lethal stealth run. It's a challenge but not obnoxious.
someone answer this post or I'll breath all of the oxygen in this thread and you'll all die of air deprivation
extremely fun the first playthrough. This game was definitely made by anti-war hippy pacifists, though.
well, its 30 fps on console with abysmal fov
shit game with even shittier writing and also bugs
Zig Forumseddit will hype it though
Prey was not a better game than Dishonored by virtue of its open world and frequent backtracking (especially if you're a completionist). I'd argue that the story is a bit weaker too as it relies more on audiologs and e-mails. Dishonored had books, but you didn't need them to understand what was going on.
Dishonored 2 wasn't that bad. People only whine because you can play as Emily, and something about a slight stutter or something that the PC nerds that owned $5k pcs whined about.
>This game was definitely made by anti-war hippy pacifists, though.
Ok grandpa wear your mask.
Its extremely bad.
Feels like a retarded abortion of bioshock and thief, it combines the worst parts of both, linear design and akward as shit combat.
You just walk down the corridor, fight cartoony looking wacky soldiers and click on random shit so a gate goes up.
Its unplayable.
I'm playing Dishonored 2 for the first time right now and as Emily and I think I regret it because she's not a character made for stealth
>People only whine because you can play as Emily
I have never seen anyone complain about this
Picked Corvo as soon as I noticed he was voiced by Stephen Russell, best choice ever.
Its like a steampunk version of Thief. If you like stealth games with some fantasy elements you'll feel home. It might give you the feeling that it forces you to go non-lethal, but that's what multiple playthroughs are for, it's not that long.
Don't make the mistake of playing as a turbomoralfag, it's not worth it.
