It's more of an rpg than Mass Effect. Diablo doesn't even have a manual dodge/block button, because everything is dependent on your stats. It also has side quests, exploration, equipment and items, skills and spells

I'm not sure I'd call Prey an RPG. Immersive sims in general are a weird one because they are influenced by RPGs and have their elements, they are more interested in systems and player agency in environment, than in role-playing. Of them, Ultima Underworld and Deus Ex definitely are RPGs and I'd argue Dishonored is too to some extent, but System Shock and Prey not so much

Bro Far Cry 3 has skill trees, side quest, etc. but it's not an RPG because it lacks the most basic aspect of the genre - role-playing. Diablo is a hack&slash, you don't get to shape your character based on your choices, you just go to a dungeon to loot stuff
