All of them except the Rabbids, I'd say. Don't expect any consistency regarding lore or gameplay though, it's mostly what Ancel felt like at the time (except for 3).

Personally my favourite is the first game, but it's considered tough as balls. Also the GoG version doesn't have the full soundtrack, which is a shame.

I thought 1, 2, and Origins were great.

The first game is about as good as origins and legends is (weirdly) slightly worse than those two.
The first game is hard. Like really hard. You can do it, but expect to get frustrated. Origins is much much easier, and also much more fun, but the levels are significantly shorter

Get Rayman Redemption for a fan remake + infinite lives. Purists might complain but the end boss is neat.

Legends is better solely thanks to the music levels. Those were fucking genius.

They were fun as fuck, but the Land of the Living Dead cemented Origins as my favorite (bonus points for the final boss being a sexy nymph)

The versions of 2 are all very different, I'd recommend the dreamcast, n64 or ps2 port.

all the main series games are good, and they're all completely different so you're bound to like one of them.

the first game is only worth playing for 10 minutes for the art style then watching someone play through the rest of it because it actually is just terrible at being a fun game to play, the rest are great though

Pretty much all of them, the original you posted is great, Origins and Legends are also great. 2 and 3 are also pretty good but they're 3D platformers so it's just a different ballgame. I'm just counting the mainline ones because rabids shit is just spinoff

The console games are too different to recommend as Rayman games. But most of them are decent in and of themselves.

rayman 1 was literally impossible to beat as a child, what were they thinking?

they should have let you play through the final stage without freeing all the electoons, with 100% giving you some sort of true ending (like in crash bandicoot)
