I simply don’t get it. Pic related is one of the poorest first person shooters I’ve ever played.

Infinite is universally shat on though? every time I post about how I like it despite its flaws I get dog piled. Is it not okay to like this game, even if you think 1 and 2 are better?
Was released during the time that "gamers didn't have to be your audience". And Developers were plagued with people who think they don't need fans to be successful.

So the people that don't want to admit they - as Booker - wanted to fuck their own daughter try to play it off as some great twist and try to cover it up with vague claims about """"great"""" story-telling and """"intriguing"""" quantum physics theories. I'm the only person on earth who will say this but, 2 > Infinite > 1. The first game had great atmosphere but gameplay was shit and the story is literally just "the twist" with nothing engaging actually happening. 2 at least made the gameplay fun and had stronger characters to carry the story. Infinite was a step down from 2's gameplay but still more fun than anything you do in 1.

The game is fine. The general public thought the sequel was made way too early after 1 came out and didn't like how 2 didn't have anything like would you kindly. They also got mad that 2 had a MP mode when 1 didn't and called it cheap and tacked on.

I thought it was a great expansion on the city and seeing more of the troubles that came about due to objectivism being a retarded concept. Infinite literally didn't know what it wanted to be, but no one cared because they liked the visuals and "hurr durr them silly Americans and their exceptionalism and racism." without really going into it properly. I mean you got a city founded by what are essentially the KKK and they're polite enough to only say negro? Fuck off. That's an insult to the blacks that actually dealt with that shit. They should have been dropping "nigger" like it was going out of style. Infinite was insulting to my intelligence the second you stop touring the city and start getting shot at.
The game has a rare ability of being amazing the first time you play it as you will probably not pay attention to cracks in the story and gameplay. And most game revuevers fell in to this trap. When you play ti the second time the cracks start to show and you realize just how flawed the game is.
For reference i loved the fuck out of the game when i originally played it on release on my 360. And then i tried it again this year after replaying the entire series and i can say its my least favorite shock game now.
I don't like any of the bioshock games, they play like a shitty elder scrolls engine but are also just generic enough to make me fall asleep

All I know is that using undertow to bring in and then kick an enemy away before shooting them with a shotgun was so incredibly satisfying that I can forgive it any sin

Any fiction that brings in "oh we can travel to alternate realities" immediately loses all tension. There's absolutely nothing to give a shit about anymore when daughterfu can just zip herself and the main character into a version where they're not about to die. It's a lazy way of adding what appears to be depth to a story that never had any in the first place. Infinite is infinitely less interesting than anything in 1 or 2.
