This is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword being emulated in Dolphin at 6x its native resolution displayed on a 1440p monitor. It looks pretty good.

But then, when you move closer to an object such as this statue, it becomes blurrier.

Does anyone know why? I've got the depth of field disabled with a gecko code and even then DoF shouldnt be making things blurrier when I get closer to them.

It just doesn't play good

yes it does

looks nice, but imma wait to when emulators can have dlss and other ai focused remake for textures

Theres already a texture overhaul for skyward sword I'm just not using it because it was causing stutters at 4k

If you're waiting for DLSS to be added to dolphin I'd wager you're more likely to get a remaster with optional standard controls before then.

What do you use as a controller?

I never understood what was going through Nintendo's head when making this art-style. It looks like Twilight Princess on LSD, and color palette looks like it wants to be vibrant and washed out at the same time.

I'm using a real wiimote with motion plus and a nunchuck. I know people have played with sword swing directions mapped to gamepad controls but I couldnt imagine playing without the real thing.

It was fun as fuck in 2011 and its still fun as fuck.

i think the idea was "pastel watercolor painting"

I like it but I like every single zelda aesthetic.

>when emulators can have dlss
Are you joking?

>DLSS to be added to dolphin
Is that even possible?

No

I recently found out you can use joycons as wiimotes on PC and have been going back through the Wii's back catalogue ever since. Just beat no more heroes again today.

Figures. It's unfortunate that Nvidia is so protective of their proprietary software, if DLSS was free and open software we would be making huge leaps in terms of performance gains on systems with the appropriate hardware. Not even Nintendo seems to want to work with them any more and is considering Radeon solutions for their next system. Can't really blame them.

I heard that you can use joycons in the same way as IR aiming but I never saw that myself. Sounds incredible if true.

Does it work with motion plus games? I've never cleared through skyword sword because I never bought a Motion Plus wiimot, but I have a switch!

I liked that distant blur effect in SS, especially in the Eldin region.

That looks good to you?

I want to play Paper Mario TTYD but I'm completely clueless on emulators. Any help?

Download dolphin, pirate an iso of the game, and ur good to go

sorry, i modded it to be more in line with your tastes

Source?

Can you mod the game to make it fun?

You're gonna run into graphical bugs playing any game above 1x resolution.

Imo is the single best aesthetic zelda has ever had. Haven’t played the game though so I can’t comment on the gameplay.

I also think the Other M suit is a great design, but I haven’t played that game either.

Did they ever tighten up the wiimote controls? Played on dolphin a few years back and it was barely playable

Here you go, it's a speculative article from Tom's Guide but it makes sense. It's an exciting read.

Emulation of modern consoles is by far the biggest gaming meme out there. Far bigger than even gaming on Linux.

Looks worse than Windwaker on Dolphin
