Have you ever played a game that genuinely made you feel retarded?

what is this garbage thread fucking kill yourself

Grand strategy, shit makes me feel so stupid

Some of the Yakuza 0 minigames on the first try, but actually getting hands-on with the games always makes it clear. The instructions were almost always just horribly written.

buying one full price is retarded

Baldur's Gate probably. Can't say I'm an avid wrpg player, but I played some of them like old Fallout, Dragon Age, Arcanum. But then I played this game and I don't know what the fuck am I doing.

A lot of older games like Baldur's Gate (also arcanum for that matter) put a lot of effort into making flavorful and informative manuals and are designed around you reading them as opposed to in-game tutorials/learning to play the game. Sorry to pull this meme on you, but try reading the manual before you assume you're retarded and give up

Sure. I'm honestly confused because there are a lot of shit that I didn't understand regarding attacking, skill and stuff. Something like rolling a dice? I assumed this is because it's a D&D rules or some shit which I have no idea about. I don't think Arcanum was also like that. Also it's turn based instead of real time so I probably understood it easier.

Learn D&D and you will understand a lot. Most D&D players don't actually know the rules well for any edition.

Shit man I finished a game recently that made me feel like a retard, but I forgot what it was

Any puzzle game

Xenoblade Chronicles X or any of the Xenoblade games for that matter, the combat is just a fucking mess of numbers and I just dont get it

I'm so filtered by this shit, but it seems like a lot of people can't even play it so I feel less bad.

Virtue's Last Reward, took me 60 hours to beat it.
Surprisingly, I wasn't filtered by Q at all, finished it with ease.

Literally baby mode

the dumbest person alive is probably someone with severe brain damage or some neurological condition where they're not even aware that they are a person at all

All games that use my brain

The dumbest perston alive is you fucking dumbasss

Overwatch.
I can't believe I bought it and dropped it one month after. I could have bought a better game with that money I gave Blizzard. This is what makes me feel genuinely retarded.

While I think it wasn't that confusing especially if you learn what stuff matters the most (hint: it's TOPPLE) the battle UI sure doesn't help. XC1 is a bit cluttered but man XCX is pretty messy if you're not used to it. Dunno about XC2 but looks like they're making it even worse.

BROOOOS
we really need to get a /reddit/ board so we can post all the best reddit memes. Haha wouldn't that be epic? I really want to Zig Forums with some actually cool guys who also browse reddit. And honestly, i think it's time we stop the belittling of users from reddit. We make up the majority of posters now, so oldfags better get with the times. Besides, before i came here 1 year ago, i spent a week lurking so i know all the memes. Not only that but i also researched all the epic memes on knowyourmeme and encyclopedia dramatica. So i may as well be an oldfag too haha.
Anyway, praise kek fellow 4channers!!!

whileTrue learn().

I can grok fucking TIS-100, but visual coding is something I apparently struggle with.

Divinity Original Sin 2. I got the worst ending in the game and didn't even realize until I entered a DoS2 thread a year later to talk about it.
I genuinely thought I did good for the world by letting a demon lord take possesion of the divinity after killing my party members. Apparently I am a retard and it took several posts of user explaining my mistakes for me to realize this.

Stop trying to fit in loser

I've worked at a special needs school and there was a girl that couldn't really process anything other than light and dark, she just made expressions and moved slightly at different stimulus.
It was very saddening

This shit. I cleared Talos Principle and The Witness 100% with almost no issues, but this shit right here made me feel like the biggest brainlet ever. I gave up before even clearing the second world because I had reached the point of looking up solutions, and there are 5 worlds.

Every time I try to play fighting games.

That doesnt make you a retard though, you just choose a different ending

I myself choose to become a new divinity, cool game, going to replay it with a friend soon with the new definitive edition that adds lots of cool shit

go back

That’s horrifying, I wonder what their mind even looks like

My thoughts exactly.

>play divinity: original sin 2
>pivotal point in the story requires I use magic to sail a ship
>have to Google search to find there is a book in a room I unlocked that has the spell, and you need to bring this book to the ship head and read it

To be fair, it wasn't exactly intuitive, and the game doesn't hold your hand. I also had previously read the book (without taking it in my inventory) and thought nothing of it. I also had to Google where a key to a dungeon door was because I accidentally destroyed the wooden stool it was lying on, so it was on the floor underneath the rubble. I had to search where a *shovel* was to progress the story.

I learned that the game is meant to be very slow paced and detailed. You are meant to explore and take things in, if you miss something its probably because you weren't paying attention or being thoughtful. The ship thing didn't seem that logical, though

yeah, most of them. helltaker in particular had me questioning if i even had an IQ above 75

i got filtered extremely hard by baba is you because im a brainlet

Find a guide on D&D combat rules for whatever edition BG is based on, I don't remember which. You could just skim the manual too. It isn't that complicated once you learn it, but yeah there are no tutorials that actually teach you the nuts and bolts in BG. It's the same in Pathfinder Kingmaker imo.
