Being an Alex fan must be suffering.
Imagine waiting 20 years for Alex to return to Street Fighter. Imagine how frustrating it must be seeing him get snubbed in every Capcom/SNK crossover, despite the fact that he would be a perfect rival for Rock Howard. Imagine seeing how good he was in TvC and hoping some of that would carry over to his next appearance. And then he finally comes back and he's even worse than he was in 3rd Strike, and not just that but he's the kind of bad that's also really obnoxious to play against so everyone hates him now. Which means that Alex gets to go back into the vault for another decade. Now imagine if Street Fighter 6 is actually good.

I don't think Alex was even meant to be the main character of Street Fighter 3. I think Ibuki or Yun were supposed to be the main character but Alex was forced on them by the suits in an attempt to appeal to the west. It would explain a lot.

Honestly, nobody should be playing Alex in SFV. Ever since the game came out, Necalli more or less had Alex's 3S playstyle, but better. SFV Alex is some shitty replacement for T. Hawk, IE: That dude who's a more mobile, but worse Zangief for shitters to play.

Na, he's spot on. It's not like there aren't Alex players in diamond. The worst character in the game is probably still Fang, you're just a retard that wants easy wins while already playing the easiest street fighter to date, and possibly the easiest current gen fighting game besides MK11.

The appeal of charge characters used to be how their moves had really good properties to make up for the charge time, and that they were an easier alternative to motion characters, but both of those perks have kinda gone out the window over time.
