Yharnam... home.
Yharnam... home
game?
Someone hasn't played Bloodborne.
The Witcher 2
its such a good level that it made the rest pale in comparison
>15 frames per second trash
yep, there's a 50% chance I'll stop my run once I leave central Yharnam and a guaranteed chance I don't finish the dlc. Its why I have never completed an arcane build
cant wait for this game to be freed from its PS4 shackles
I have played this game so much it’s kind of insane. Still play it every few months. All character slots filled and deep inside chalice dungeon shit. If this came out to PC I would buy it again in a fucking heartbeat.
I love this game so much bros.
That town certainly looks 'finished'
it'll look beautiful when it's emulated
Better part of a decade now. Let it go.
Halo 2, Ivory Tower
Tell me how to git gud at bloodborne soulsfags.
Do all the enemies just bait you with recovery
It's all about timing, user.
IMO it’s all about dodging towards or to the side of enemies. Dodging to retreat never turns out well.
Some important things to remember are
With most weapons, crowds will overwhelm you (things like threaded cane and beast cutter are good for crowd control) and it's better to try and fight them one at a time
Going for parries and viscerals is great
Make use of the rallying mechanic (being able to recover health by damaging after taking hits) while you battle
These are some of the main things I can think of.
Oh and learning parry timings helps a lot. Makes a certain enemy not as much of a pain as she could be. Laaalllaaaaaalaaaaaaa
Today I will remind them.
Which stage of the game are you at?
Use molotovs (post transformation) and the music box for Gascoigne if you're not getting on well with him.
Until you fight that fat dude early on in central yarnham who does 360° sweeps and has 60000 kilometer range
Rallying mechanic is damaging the enemy right after they damage me right? But does it recover more or less than what damage that enemy did?
1: Practice your timing. You dodge when an attack is coming down, not randomly when you "think" it's going to come, you watch that arm and hit O when you know the swing is actually coming out.
2: Dodge forward. You may often be tempted to dodge away from attacks, but due to the high amount of i-frames in Bloodborne, the huge distance traveled with a dodge, and how limited an enemy's active frames are, combined with the fact that a massive amount of attacks from enemies also move them forward, you will find you dodging through one attack puts you out of range of several other attacks, and even if you didn't dodge an entire attack chain, you are now point-blank with your target and can follow up with an attack.
3: Stop chugging your vials brainlessly. You have lots of means of mitigating damage. Use Rally and continue attacking enemies when you get touched. It may not seem like much, but when you actually make swinging first and vialing second, you'll see the difference is night and day.
4: Enemies are not invincible, and don't ever trick yourself into thinking so. Dodge their attacks, keep swinging. It takes a long while for most enemies, and a couple of enemies with obnoxious AoE attacks make the "dodge" part very difficult, but you should never get scared and make awkward moves to try to stay out of range of an attack. That's the fastest way to get you killed. Keep on them and maintain the assault until they die, and when you learn the tell for some kind of wide-sweeping AoE that will kill you for being close, arrange it in your muscle memory.
Nah I got those covered. Btw how big is the game past central yharnam? Is it as big as dark souls 3?
>Btw how big is the game past central yharnam? Is it as big as dark souls 3?
It's more non-linear, and there's a lot of optional stuff. Also, have you gotten the GOTY edition or the DLC?
Nope, just the free ps plus edish
I cant afford a PlayStation
That's fucked up
Then what do you play games on? An old nokia?
this poster is underage
i am still seething over the steam release hoax
I'm turning 20 this year
Ah well, The Old Hunters is an incredible expansion, one of the best DLCs ever made. Fantastic bosses, adds a lot of really great weapons, and improves build variety. I highly recc you get it. It can be accessible quite early on too, though I'd reccomend entering it sometime near to the end of the base game. It's doable anywhere between BL60-90, though you can go higher if you're struggling.
From Soft will never top this game, it's a shame.
those abysmal frame drops are painful as all hell though
Put faith in emulation. Just like Demon's Souls, it's the only way it'll get on PC.
Resident evil 4... or 8
with enough bonus to rally, you can easily get back almost all of the damage you lost in a hit
unless you're fighting a dog
to hell with dogs
Is the PvP in Bloodborne any fun
It was intentional, no doubt.
Adds a lot of context to the scene where the MP embraces the Hunter by putting its head against the Hunter's abdomen.
It's standard souls pvp, i.e. it's a shitty unbalanced mess, but it has its fun moments.
