The laws of physics

Because people with good enough internet probably have a console or pc already

You need the not so universal google fiber to make it work.

Did it actually fail? I remember this thing being shit out so much at the last E3.

This.

Neither the technology nor the audience was there to make it viable.
Also Google being Mega Jews what with making you have to buy games on top of making it a subscription service.

Because it had no target audience and Google execs are completely disconnected from reality.

I literally don't even get the point of this thing

Stadia is proof that even big companies can have entire departments that are completely and utterly incompetent. I actually got offered a free stadia + subscription because of my job back when Google was trying to promote this shitheap, but did not bother claiming it because my garbage can at home was already full.

>making you have to buy games on top of making it a subscription service
wow this is fucking retarded.

>Requires already-tedious google product to work properly
>Controller is uninspired and clunky
>Zero disks / direct storage on console means you're gonna get slowdowns anyways
>Quality drops everywhere, stuttering and even lower bitrate audio at times
>Requires internet to play offline games
>REQUIRES INTERNET TO PLAY OFFLINE GAMES
Netflix has a lot of movies, but owning the same movie on blu-ray is much better because it has better quality, sound and zero jittering. If there's a problem with the movie, it's either the disc or the DVD player. With Stadia you don't know what the fuck is gonna happen but you know why it will happen; the design could not have been any more shit. Even the OUYA outclasses this garbage.

If anyone wants a good laugh, just go to the Stadia gamefaqs board and look at the defense force there.

You could buy an Xbox for less than the price of six games. The streaming performance itself is quite good but it's just not worth it.

>pay subscription
>still have to buy the games
>streaming
>shit catalog
everything went wrong

What exactly was even the fucking appeal?
you have to pay for the service AND buy the games.

Why the FUCK not just buy a console or a gaming PC at that point? Hell with a PC you can even be a filthy piratefag and skip buying the games altogether.

Again, who the fuck was this service supposed appeal to

Based misunderstanding speed reader

Digital is (sadly) the future but streaming is not.

It's abysmal. That sharp rise was a free trial period, and already it's dropping.

Because stadia's target audience is weird.
1. It doesn't even work outside first world countries, so for people who actually live in third world countries and earn minimum wage, stadia isn't even a choice in the first place.
2. Stadia doesn't work properly unless your internet is up to par and you pay like 50$ per month for it ( idk what the prices are in the US ). I have a gigabit speed connection and I've tried game streaming on places like geforce and it runs horribly bad with packet loss and what not.
3. If you actually can afford to shell out that high cash behind internet you should also be able to afford an actual console and/or PC to game on, minus the horrible input latency of Stadia.
4. Subscription service for pro and yet games need to be bought.

It's just a highly flawed concept. It might work 10-15 years later when every has blazing super static internet (which would probably take my Country; India decades) but right now it's just too demanding to make sense.

pajeet...

Google legitimately believes that people want to pay for a streaming service and then pay full price for the games on top of that.

Why did Konami agree to support this thing?

It's literally a free service unless you want to play things in 4k. Meanwhile you can't even play online games on Xbox without shilling $10/mo to pay for internet you already pay for.

>free service
It's ten dollars a month though

Only IF you want the Pro tier features (aka 4k resolution and free games). The fact people don't know this shit is proof of Google's shit tier marketing.

>Expecting to compete well against big dogs like Sony and Nintendo with its library of boring indie games
Might as well be a PCvirgin

>Requires internet to play offline games
>REQUIRES INTERNET TO PLAY OFFLINE GAMES
I'm not trying to defend Stadia here, but what the fuck were you expecting? It's entire gimmick streaming to play games, which requires an internet connection.

>I see a message saying Stadia is full. What does that mean? When can I sign up and play?
It means that Stadia is currently at capacity in your area to new users. Please check back within the next few days to see if there is availability. If you have a Stadia invite code, you can redeem it when you create an account to start playing.
Who gives a fuck if this is a thing lmao!

Holy shit what are they thinking?

You pay for games on top of paying a subscription fee. Google has no reputation in gaming and Stadia hardly had any public trust in it. Most casual gamers use phones anyway, and they're more convenient to play on lunch break, in the bus and in the bed. Those who are more serious already own at least a semi-decent PC or a console that can play all the same games, but without streaming hassle. Most games don't take advantage of Stadia's added power and look mostly the same as on pc or console.

Google has also done very little marketing and haven't secured any big exclusives. You're generally better off building a budget PC or getting a base Xbox 1S/PS4 for a much more "premium" feeling experience.

If you were poor, you couldn't afford the Internet and games required to use this thing. And if you were rich, you already had gaming consoles or a gaming PC for gaming. This is a product designed for nobody.

>buy games on top of making it a subscription service
So like PS4, Xbox and Switch?
>Other 3
subscription to play online
>Stadia
subscription to play in 4k
They pump out pro first is stupid marketing as ppl will think subscription is essential instead of optional.
