It already is.
fpbp
Easy
Make it a molester battle
Make it have actual strategy instead of just using the same five spells the whole game.
Just make it hard
Just have an IQ over 100 bro.
based
oh look another dumb slut posing with guns to try and seem epic and cool when she's clearly fucking retarded
why is she holding the weight of the gun by the magazine instead of the foregrip? why are the ironsights raised if she has a holo sight attached?
stupid bimbo
its the i showed you my dick girl
I find turnbased RPGs pretty boring regardless of story quality. The gameplay is just glorified Powerpoints.
Even Chrono Trigger sucks technically.
Undertale was a based fucking wake-up call for the shape of turn-based combat to come. Combined based bullet hell, a cast of characters bursting with personality, and a right amount of fourth wall breaks.
It's because of people like this that
Is the case.
The genre is completely brain-dead because idiots are more satisfied by the illusion of complexity and progress that leveling up and gaining new abilities (which are just more powerful variations of old ones) provides that they're content with something that in no way actually challenges them, preferring pretend 'difficulty' to that. This is utterly not Chad-like.
HER
She cute
Add a fast forward button, I don't know why they haven't implemented it after all these years.
only thing whackin is my meat between her cheeks
I want a cute SMG like that
I tell her, "Alpha Centauri. (dramatic pause) Two."
Improve on how you get your initiative and turn order. There has to be a way for characters to attack each other at the same time.
It's turn-based, but you only have about five seconds to choose your actions for this turn, where if time runs out your character does nothing for this turn. How much decision time you have depends on character stats, and it can be affected with buffs/debuffs.The faster you execute your turn, the more bonus decision time you have for choosing an action for the next character in your party. Some actions may be more effective when executed ASAP or if delayed for as long as possible. Enemies can also just do shit like speed up time for everything because the AI isn't really affected by limited decision time.
She can just kill me, turn based is the most boring shit.
Back off bro I called her cute I'll kill you
>trigger discipline
Why does this picture make me so hard?
>How do you make turn-based combat interesting
Cute girls
The assertion is that Turn Based combat is by default uninteresting. That's bullshit. There are bad implementations of Turn Based combat, but even the worst versions of those are more stimulating for me than turning my brain off and mashing to attack. Or just jumping over the pits. Or pointing at the bad guy and clicking.
Of course your rebuttal is,
>no good game is that simple. No good FPS, Platformer, Action Game, Etc is that simple.
And that's the fucking point. No good turn based game is that simple. The genre is not inherently flawed, you just don't like it. Which is if fine, just don't pretend that you have a single fucking clue what you're talking about.
ok but explain it with words now
You don’t.
>noguns fag pretending to be guns
>not noticing the 7 red flags of guns in the image
kys
its clearly airshit
Give bosses insane health pools and make them vulnerable to status effects instead of making them a gimmick. Save the gimmick for minibosses.
Give rewards based on how quickly you can bring down a boss, i.e. how few turns it takes.
Then make a fuck ton of bosses with unique music and graphics because the gameplay is going to be shit no matter what. Fuck turn based games
No u, also I just really like female hands on that position so I don't care.
Just do what Persona 5 that shit was super fun
>Give rewards based on how quickly you can bring down a boss, i.e. how few turns it takes.
lol no. You're just going to make every completionists to minmax their characters. Minmaxing sucks a lot of the fun.
>female
>Why does this picture make me so hard?
Girls with guns.
Two words:
Battle Brothers
What is the name of this?
I need this
You add in a fun gimmick.
And you allow them to skip repetitive tedious battles if it annoys the player.
is that tsuruko?
Don't be a completionist then. Completionists get a kick out of minmaxing. Why would you partake in something you don't enjoy?
Make it a hardcore difficult metabuild game and update it monthly so new builds become viable and old ones die off. Add room for plenty of theory crafting.
Extreme Molester's Terminus
it's not out yet
It just needs to have enough strategy and team building to make it fun. Etrian Odyssey is a wonderful example of turn based done right.
