Is the multiplayer actually good? I'm poor, so I'm wondering what I'll miss out when the crack eventually comes.
Death Stranding
there is no multiplayer
The multiplayer adds a lot to the game. And is very nice to do.
>what I'll miss out
Playing a good game.
Death Stranding shills in Zig Forums now are the same Kojimbodrones who were calling it kino at ps4 release.
It's a delivery sim without vehicle physics and with the worst combat ever since ps1 era
LOL i forgot without mp this game makes ur life a living hell. This is actually fucking hilarious move to counter pirates.
the multiplayer is literally the whole point
>the crack
see you in a year bro
Would you still be able to participate in all the online features with a crack? A big chunk of the gameplay is the like system and interaction with the multiplayer features
>Mod timefall deterioration out
>Mod infinite resources in
>PC chads win again
>then no play it ever again because you are playing on journalist mode
PCHADS WIN AGAIN, BABY!!
There is no multiplayer.
>mod timefall deterioration out
do pckeks even play their games?
You can't see other players but you can see things they built, paths they walked, packages they dropped, etc. You can also help them build structures.
how shitty is that? imagine raiding in WoW and you don't see the other players lol
funny post
it's not "MP" per-se, but a co-operation socializing aspect that's pretty crucial to the overall experience.
>WoW
get lost.
Are the Mules supposed to be an actual threat? They seem far too easy to punch out on very hard.
so if you decide to play it again in 5 years game becomes "living hell"? great design kojima
it's called asynchronous multiplayer and it's most of the game
The multiplayer is building structures which allow you to skip playing the game. Your reward is not having to play the game. It's like kojima knew the game was garbage.
Oh good it's this autist again.
He's right though.
Schizo. I comes up all the time because it's a fact, not because there is a single person dedicating thier lives to saying it.
It*
This. If an essentially singleplayer game gets worse just because barely anyone plays it, in time, then that's pretty fucking bad. I can still enjoy soulsgames and never cared about its MP part.
>because it's a fact
Like most disingenuous criticism that comes out of this place, it's an half-truth, if that.
It would be like saying leveling up in any game with RPG elements which allows you to kill enemies faster or has co-op means it's "skipping the gameplay". It's become a meme critique at this point parroted by retards who are merely "pretending" or just want to shit on this game. This is the equivalent of the sandbag enemies shitposting in DMC threads.
You do know there are speedruns of people finishing this game solo, right? One of the major differences is that you have to bring more PCCs along with you. Not to mention, you still have to go through an area and connect it online before you have access to other players' structures.
The point is that there is this "haha you don't get it if you don't use online" argument going around. "If you gotta use online to fully enjoy it then it's bad" is directed at that specifically.
Except its perfectly playable offline. The online will also never be truly dead because even if no one will be playing anymore the structures will never deteriorate and they will appear in other players game forever.
>remove all the challenge from a game
>winning
Why not just play on the easiest settings at that point?
real shit:
you need online to play "mulitplayer" aka the intended way to play
the game's core mechanics involve constant interaction with the online community to build structures that cultivate the terrain in your world and in others
The game AI chooses what appears in your world so you don't sign in and see every single player's stuff, nor stuff you haven't unlocked yet, so it feels natural, It's like matchmaking servers
Players can also leave signs, clues, and help with your standard missions in the same way. You'll never actually SEE another player, but literally everything else a player does can interact with another's servers.
People would make the same argument with Souls games, though. PvP, co-op and simple bloodstains and messages add a lot to those games. Bloodborne in particular, if you don't have PS+ you can't even connect to their servers and input custom codes for chalice dungeons.
how does this game run on a 970 considering i cant use dlss with it
The case with souls is different in that your enjoyment depends on what you want from those games. In my case I spent over 500 hours without ever touching multiplayer because I had fun with self-imposed challenge runs. Others played souls mostly for PvP and they'd find my approach unfun, whilst I see their approach as unfun.
That same argument doesn't seem applicable to DS though.
