Didn't valve said they stopped focusing on that old game?

>reddit fortress
fuck off

>Didn't valve said
ESL

Yes.

>valve never gonna work in tf2 again
It hurts so much

>Jungle Inferno contracts are still up
>all TF2 youtubers moved on to different games
>competitive is dead
>casual is full of hackers and shitty people
>community servers are reaching LoL levels of shittiness
Where were you when TF2 died?

I was playing overwatch

>wtf why doesn't this old dead game that's been getting updates for nearly a decade get updates anymore???
you do realize that TF2 has gotten more content than 99% of titles?

You have to go back

do not care if the game never gets updated again, just finish the fucking comic

>Overwatch didn't even last a third of what TF2 did
>while TF2 still has an active community, Overwatch is only kept alive by porn artists

where

lol yeah all those bots sure are community

Whence you came

More than Overwatch has, sure. I'd be shocked if that game has more than 200 players nowadays.

i don't get it

And Valve should try just fixing the bot problem and give us that one final update and fix the matchmaking and all the would have to do is just patch shit in case of gamebreaking bugs or security leaks. To this day they might update games like old source games l4d2 just to fix something that can be a potential threat to players.

And has more active players today than 99% of titles.

Kill jester

>valve office runs off ambition and you can work on whatever you want whenever you want
>no one in the office wants to work on TF2
>literally hundreds of people outside valve want to work on TF2
>still doesn't hire people
it's like they're shooting themselves in the foot. eventually people will stop playing tf2 and valve will lose a gold mine. they can't keep this up for much longer right? RIGHT?

Well, obviously. You're an ESL, after all.

TF2 died in 2010/2011 when they added that outrageously shitty quickplay system. Peak TF2 was Sniper VS Spy

not the guy you responded to but this seems a little sketchy

yeah but where do i go? im home i dont know what do you mean

Go back to Hell

This. Only Fortnite has more players.

i already said im home

how would you feel about the inevitable team fortress 3 on source 2?

why do retards want more updates after the shitshow that was JI? Fuck off, crack down on bots and cheat makers. Or just release an official 2007 build for free on Steam to compete with tf2classic or whatever it's called

I stopped playing TF2 in 2013, haven't looked back since. Just move on Anons.

Attached: 1568234410149.jpg (500x500, 39.84K)

yes. hats were fun but the economy turned tf2 from a game into a way to make money. people care way too much about the value of their inventory over how many kills they have. tf3 would be a good way to reset. instead of using the economy and loot boxes, make hats and skins based on skill, time played, contribution to the game via community maps, etc. plus I bet the code of tf2 is a garbled mess ready to collapse.

>outlived Overwatch
>outlived Splatoon
>outlived PUBG
>outlived every CoD title
>outlived WoW
>outlived League of Legends
>outlived CSGO
>coming soon: outlived Fortnite

Will there ever be a single game that stays popular longer than TF2? I highly doubt it. Who needs updates when you're still thriving without them?

Just give up user, it's not worth the pain. I finally uninstalled yesterday, probably never touching it again, even if they do add new content.

Forget about it now while you still see it in a positive light, and treasure the good memories it gave you.

minecraft.

but there's not really a game like tf2.

That game is so dead that I forgot to even include it in the list. Who the hell has even played Minecraft in the last five years?

same, only came back recently for tf2c had more fun there than i had in years with any valve game plus the community is pretty edgy.
there is no real reason to hold onto tf2. there will always be another game.

meant this for

Jungle Inferno was a great update. So much so that Valve had to screw it up by nerfing all the cool changes they made because crybaby soldiers and demos couldn't handle being lit on fire for 5 seconds.

>finishes spamming w+m1 to get 500 crit sticky kills
>"AYYY DAT PYRO IS OVERPOWERED AND *burp* 'E HIT ME WITH A FLARE AND I ALMOST WENT DOWN TA HALF HEALTH, WTF KINDA BALANCE IS THAT, VALVE-BOY?"

>refresh
>fluctuates by over 100,000 in less than 10 seconds
bl*zzardniggers really are desperate aren't they?

i can say the same for tf2 who the hell has played tf2 in the last 7 years?

>Pyro's max DPS could be achieved by flailing around in the enemy's general direction, no tracking, no tricks
>skill ceiling drops to the lowest ever in this game, no matter how skilled you are you won't do more with a flamethrower than a spastic 5 year old
Yeah that was a good change, people were just bitching for no reason!

Team Fortress 2 is older than Super Smash Bros. Melee was during EVO 2014.

Youtubers

Christ I was still in high school when this game came out. Move on with your lives you fucking boomers.

as much as i love tf2, Overwatch, PUBG, LoL and CSGO are still going strong.

This has to be bait. Do you not see the constant 500+ post threads for it every single day?

Pretty sure dead games wouldn't be talked about that much. When was the last time you saw a 500+ post Minecraft thread?

Why? What the fuck convinced you people that video games must somehow "expire"?
