I replayed the game and after you do Naoto's dungeon, they hardly ever interact at all. Naoto barely acknowledges Kanji, to make matters worst he can't hold a conversation at all with her and Naoto has zero awareness or interest of Kanji at all. She seems pretty wrapped up in the investigation and as soon as MC starts spending time with her, he awakens her pussona and she's suddenly ready to start talking, acting and dressing girly while making plans to give you her short stack pussy as tribute. She even knows you're cheating and looks the other way just to keep you around.
