Modern Deus Ex games are among the best stealth RPG games and only retards with shit tastes think otherwise.

Can't wait for a new game.
Also Adam Jensen is cool and underrated character

i agree, too bad md was such a flop and we probably wont get another one like ever

Didn't they have a ponzi scheme tied to the marketing campaign of the last game? I remember that turned me off immediately, I didn't even pirate it.

the marketing was shit but the game is top-tier

yeah they did lots of bad stuff with it, including cutting the game in half and hoping for great sales and releasing quick sequel for ez money
basically the only reason desu ex is dead is because square is full of greedy retards

it wouldn't have flopped if it was a complete game

>among the best stealth RPG games
what are other stealth RPG games

Oof

it was okay but the takedown system is fucking atrocious

>>side quests are each unique and fun to do
Except that one cult leader mission in the sewers because you couldn't skip dialogue, making repeat playthroughs a slog.

Dishonored
Assassin's Creed
Shadow of Mordor
Alpha Protocol

>ac
>shadow of mordor
dont know about that one chief

The setting was retarded. The original deus ex made more sense where people sometimes got minimally invasive augs and JC got nanomachines. Heavily augmented people were rightly regarded as total freaks. The modern setting posits people would voluntarily amputate themselves for augs that would have literally little ramifications for day to day and commit themselves to a lifetime of costly anti-rejection drugs. I couldn’t suspend disbelief when the premise was that fucking dumb.

most missions in AC require you to stay hidden or assassinate without sounding alarms.

Shadow of Mordor is very similar to Assassin's Creed

>playing like a ninja cop at first
>investigating, exploring, being careful
>slowly move to stealth+guns
>hack your way into everything, use your superior agility to outsmart the enemy
>endgame is you being a fucking terminator, smashing through walls and crushing your puny enemies
10/10

I love the hell out of that game but I'm so fucking mad that takedowns are just cutscenes. They look cool BUT HOW FUCKING HARD IS IT TO JUST EQUIP THE BLADES LIKE A MELEE WEAPON AND JUST ATTACK PEOPLE WITH IT, deus ex 1 had melee weapons ! My 15 minute game I made in unity has fucking melee weapons, how hard can it be what they fuck were they thinking

the story ending on a shit note is only part of the reason it flopped

>people would voluntarily amputate themselves for augs that would have literally little ramifications for day to day and commit themselves to a lifetime of costly anti-rejection drugs
sounds like trans people desu

How is the game not complete?

alpha protocol is the only that qualify as rpg here.

>takedown boss
>get pwned in short cutscene and take damage

Hence being regarded as freaks

marketing, microtransactions were absolute cancer
botched main story was shit too

Nah the Avengers game will flop even harder to the point they hve to make aother Deus Ex to make up for it.
We just have to play the waiting game

God-tier artstyle.

Too based for such a cucked board. HR + MD = GOD Tier

I'm at the end of jensen's first story and it was not so great. It was obvious the big baddie was going to be the illuminati guy from the first game. panchaea platform about to kick his ass. Also Sarif sounds like he's imitating Trump and Jock is THE best pilot.
Also also CyberCop: the game would be kino

literally better cyberpunk feeling than 2077

>crouch walk behind enemy
>press button
>cutscene plays

OMG epic Jensen ftw

since it managed to kill the franchise is it known how much money MD ate up?

its a shame, the team behind these games were talented but having to be under squeenix clearly hurt the project and ended it prematurely, I don't know if we'll ever see the teams vision fully realized

>NOOOOOOOOO 2 SECONDS SKIPPABLE CUTSCENE RUINED THE GAME FOR ME
use a silenced weapon to stealth kill then, dumbass.

hr > md > missing link
best stealth shit out there besides splinter cell

>no melee weapons
>lockpicking, electronics & hacking merged into one skill that can be used infinitely since related items are power-ups, not requirements
>XP gained mostly through performing actions, not completing objectives
>regenerating health
>"multiple endings" even worse than the first game, at least there each ending had a set of objectives, not a button
They're still good games, but playing the original first turns you into a cranky boomer when playing them.

>so much freedom in doing missions
No

MD had the worst story but it handled the ending the best out of the 3, seeing the results of all the little sidequests was pretty neat

Most fun way to play is lethal stealth I found. Too bad you lose xp doing this since it can be harder than non lethal since it makes noise.

Was reshade used with this? When I played it the colours were a lot more washed out, maybe it's my monitor.

>Can't wait for a new game.
Don't count on it, every last one of the Eidos Montreal DE team is gone now.
