Animal Crossing

July's update was disappointing, what can we expect for August?

nudity update with puffy cunnies and cute peens

Another update that adds 10 minutes of daily content that lasts a month at most

Dream suite

They fix the shitty animal crossingisms still plagueing the game

Hopefully more wet suits for one. The 9 we got are such a disappointment compared to the ones in NL

You know things are dire when the Nook branded item is the best one.

This is the correct answer

>update was dissapointing
Sums up every update desu senpai

growable veggies

This is the first Animal Crossing I've sat out buying/playing. Feels good not dropping cash/time on an early access title that will take an eternity to be feature & content complete. The AC team needs to get kicked out for sitting on their dicks and having developed only a shell of a game, despite the delays. Many of Nintendo's big Switch games have suffered from this shit, and Sh/Sw took the cake, but New Horizons is indisputably the champ now.

Why does PC get more interesting updates?

Why do so many people think they’ll add farming? Is there something I missed?

dang i can’t believe this series about doing nothing doesn’t have enough nothing to do for the worlds biggest animal crossing fan

please punch yourself in the face for me

Not to derail the thread with an argument, but I still think Sword and Shield is the champ of bad games. NH is disappointing too, but the base game is better and it’s also getting free content updates instead of paid DLC.

>Brings the August fireworks festival
>If we're lucky it's one of the big things hinted from data miners so, Blathers/Cafe/Gyroids, Farming, or the missing 64 villagers returning

Sooo.. you haven’t even played it?

Its great, easily the best in the series besides the handful of minor complaints. And I thought NL was fucking trash. They really are minor, mostly how the menus are redundant and you can only craft 1 item at a time, but the gameplay and crafting system is generally great.

Does it feel a little unfinished? Maybe, but we knew there would be regular future updates. Seriously there is a lot of detail and surprising amont of SOUL to keep you entertained for weeks. Its amazing what people have showcases with their islands online.

more content from new leaf being added back in

If you think they are gonna add all that shit on a "wave 2" update, you're snorting some weird stuff.

>for the worlds biggest animal crossing fan
Finally, some recognition in that area. As the only person who loved both HHD and AF that title can truly only belong to me. The complete sets of e-reader and amiibo cards probably help too.

Sh/Sw had as much content as you'd expect from a first new-gen title. NH base game at launch (no day 1 patch) is City Folk level bad, perhaps even worse.

>still don't have the Jock or normal villagers I want
I feel like when I get one of each I really like I'll just stop playing outright until the next big update. I'm good with the rest of my villagers.

He didn’t say they would add all of it, just one of those things

>Reading comprehension, what's that?

off topic you retard

Wrong, this is an AC thread and PC is an AC game

I know Nintendo is doing the "lots of little free updates for a long time" for their games, like Splatoon did, but what I don't understand is why they do it.
I have no problem with it, I have tons of games to play, and little free updates make it extra fun to come back to old games. But, how does this benefit NINTENDO?
All this thrown in extra DLC for games like Mario Maker 2 or Splatoon is free. So I can't understand why Nintendo devotes teams to spending extra months/years working on new content that they get no extra money for.
It's good for us, yes, but I can't understand how it's good for them.

It'd be cooler if you could actually visit those islands and not have to sit through a video of them going at a snail's pace or listening to some gay ass "wholesome" narrator talking the whole time. Without the dream suite all the customization is kind of pointless because the only way to show people your island is if you have a capture card and can take a video or babysit them online. New Horizons is, at the moment, objectively inferior to New Leaf.

>Play game for 30 minutes a day at most
>longer if terraforming or doing something bigger

If you expect to sit and play this for hours per day you're one of the mentally ill women or gays that froth at the mouth over this game.

I do wish the rooms could be expanded and we had wider furniture/themes available.

It's Frita's birthday, so press F to wish her all the best on this momentous occasion!

Noob question but can you get all types of fruit from NMT islands?

>Sh/Sw had as much content as you'd expect from a first new-gen title.
Ahh I see /vp/ shills are crossing over again.
Sword and Shield's plot is the most disappointing thing I have witnessed in a game to date. The fact that any semblance of lore is shoved into the very beginning and near end while the climax acts out through a series of still images when even fucking XY had some sort of stylistic mural that made sense for the context should be considered one of the biggest blunders of gaming history.
They toted the game as open world and it's the most on-rails and handholdy game to date, the only thing saving it is the QOL features but even that falls flat with yet ANOTHER game without PSS or some functional online and the fact that versatility is non existent because they cut out half the roster to sell Home and DLC.
New Horizons similarly lacks flavor and depth in comparison to last titles but at the very least they bothered to shake up what little gameplay formula Animal Crossing has. The fact that the big selling point of the game is starting everything from scratch and clawing your way up to the point that the towns in past games were at from the beginning at least gives the game some longetivity and we can at least be assured that everything aside from island minigames will be brought back through updates.
As a die-hard poketard it's so grating to hear faggots like you argue this shit. Pokemon hasn't had a game without major cut elements since XY and has only gone downwards since. If you really wanted to say the absolute state of AC is worse then you'll have to wait until Nintendo is depraved enough to create the equivalent of three paid subscription services to
>Transfer items from new leaf
>Use new horizon's online
>Transfer items from the first transfer service to New Horizons
Double points if they only add the items to New Horizons in updates alongside the service. There is NO franchise that has stooped as low as Pokemon. None.

>autumn
>brownish grass and trees
>winter
>snow everywhere
>spring
>bright green
>summer
>bright green
what the fuck? why is spring and summer the same? does something actually change between these two seasons?

Minecraft uses the same system and it’s the best selling game of all time. I don’t understand how that system works so well, but it does.

Or at least let's you specify your own wet suit so you can go swimming in regular swim trunks or whatever the fuck you want.

In fact just get rid of the wet suit and let us swim directly. I don't like having to lose another inventory slot.

This guy gets it

>still playing animal crossing after a month

Better yet, let it be wand-able

It’s also kind of annoying that you need to manually remove the wetsuit to change your clothes at a dresser or buy clothes at the tailors. The game should automatically remove the wetsuit when you attempt to do those things.

>reset my island thinking it would make me interested in the game again
>already bored after day 3

No, you get your "sister" fruit and coconuts, but you can get a third one from your mom. For the other 2 you have to get it from other players.
Do you need something in particular?

In Summer the grass is a darker shade of green with hints of orange. Pay attention, Magoo

This is a game series explicitly designed to be played for a year or more

because people pay for it through microtransactions rather than a single lump sum

This is true for any wand outfit. I stopped using the wand because of this
See above

More disappointment

You probably didn't notice the change because you played every day
