What's up with gamecube fans and their insistence on rehashes?
What's up with gamecube fans and their insistence on rehashes?
Now, this is bait.
>Everything i disagree with is bait
Mario & Luigi died because AlphaDream put out two remakes on the 3DS with no major improvements when the Switch had already left it in the dust. Their “rehashing” was going fine until then.
>spm better than mario party 5
>botw better than windwaker
lol
Only game there I have played both of is smash bros and ultimate is indeed better than melee but botw is worse than all the zeldas I have played including zelda 2
But yeah thousand year door fags need to stop being such fags, if they wanted RPGs they should have brought the fucking mario RPGs that were being made instead of insisting this series that clearly wasn't interested in being one be changed
This is the one GC fanbase that is allowed to boast.
Most of these are true except for Paper Mario subjectively and Mario Party OBJECTIVELY
Super Mario Party has few boards, an extremely sterile art style, bland mini games, and the only improvement over the GameCube MP games is that it’s alot easier to get everyone to play thanks to single joycon controls.
To be fair, Super Mario Party's art style is more in line with Super Mario Odyssey than the New Super Mario Bros. games. You can see on the box art that Mario's overalls have that denim texture, and his hair isn't just a mass of brown.
They want to relive the times when they were happy
It's fucking hilarious that I literally think each of those GCN games are the height of the their respective franchise. Except WW, that goes to OOT
Nintendo fans are mostly based on nostalgia, so it makes sense they would prefer the older games/systems over newer ones regardless of any objective facts.
The Gamecube is easily the worst Nintendo console, how fucking dare they sell Rare off. At least Metroid Prime was good.
Thanks for reminding me why I stopped playing Nintendo games.
I gave my cousin's kid a SNES classic and he became a big fan of DKC.
More like why does Nintendo insist on shitting out soulless rehashes
>games now have sterile apple uis
>Games are way less imaginative
>level design quite literally changed to more is better in odyssey and botw case
>forced motion controls in some of these since nintendo doesn't understand that the wii was a gimmick and died a long time ago
The only games you can even make an argument about is lm3 and ultimate, and even then I appreciated how consice the first one was (3 dragged on so much), and ultimate is inferior in most ways but casual play to melee, even then the roster is so bloated with shit nobody cares about.
>ultimate over melee
the only things it has over it are the roster and accessibility
>Ultimate > Melee
True. I think even most Melee players would agree that Ultimate is the better video game, unless they're delusional enough to think competitive skill ceiling is all a Smash game is good for. I'd rather play PM than Melee
>SMP > MP5
Didn't play Super Mario Party but all I hear is that people like it more than 8/9/10. I personally thought 8 was good though, and played it more than the GCN ones. 2&3 are probably the best of the bunch anyway.
>TOK >= TTYD
No. I'm not really an RPG guy and I think people overrate TTYD because it has a vibe that no other Mario game has, but its combat system is legitimately extremely well-done. TOK looks really nice though and the music is stellar, while having at least a more engaging battle system than SS & CS. Origami a solid 6.5/10 game, first three Paper Marios are around 8s or 8.5s.
>Odyssey > Sunshine
Yeah but not by some huge margin. Sunshine has cut content and a wonky story as well as some really mediocre gimmick sequences. Odyssey kind of falls for the Open World Checklist Sim meme but it also has the best Mario movement in a long, LONG time; Cappy is a better gimmick than FLUDD by a mile, and I like FLUDD.
>BOTW > WW
I don't play Zelda. Neither game seems bad though, just not really my thing.
>LM3 > LM1
True. The original was a really remarkable tech demo, but a tech demo nonetheless. Dark Moon was Next Level experimenting with the IP but 3 was a full-blown expansion of the original concept into something well beyond the scope of the first. I think anybody that's played 3 can tell you that.
I grew up mostly during 6th gen ('96 babby) and I can admit all this.
And gameplay
and being a finished product
>I think even most Melee players would agree that Ultimate is the better video game, unless they're delusional enough to think competitive skill ceiling is all a Smash game is good for.
ultimate is a game where literally nothing but zoning happens in
>Ultimate > melee
Only true if you're a rosterfag. Melee has better singleplayer and items that are more well designed for casual play.
>SMP > MP5
It has objectively less content in every category. And I think most people would agree its of a lower quality
>OK better than TTYD
I'll give OK that its not shit like the last two entries but its nowhere near PM and TTYD.
>Odyssey > Sunshine
I agree but they're both top tier entries into the franchise regardless
>BoTW > WW
I agree completely as someone who's first Zelda game was WW and holds a lot of nostalgia for it. WW is one of the weakest entries in the series and its best aspect(exploration) is done better in BotW.
>LM3 > LM1
I have to confess ignorance on this franchise
most of the Mario Party games for Gamecube sucked ass
>t. owned all of them
Both are true...
BotW is better than WW, mostly because WW is kind of barebones.
>everything i disagree with is people clinging onto nostalgia, they should blindly like new things instead of forming their own opinions based on their experiences
Casual player here, Ultimate is a bad game for a number of reasons, unironically enjoyed 4 more.
You were halfway there
Don't waste your time trying to form a rebuttal, this is a bait thread.
>and gameplay
hahahahahaha
replying this ever just solidifies it as bait
>lm3 > lm1
Yah, nah. Lm3 decided to dumb down the mechanics to make it easier for more people to play. The other games I can see the argument on, but those are honestly just so different that it can't be objective.
Some people are blinded by nostalgia.
