Why the fuck did he give him the gun?

Because that way, he wouldn't go out looking for a weapon that could hurt him in the long run.
He sabotaged York from the get-go.
Adding to the fact that he'd eventually stumble into the gun store in town. That way, he just used the store for the upgrades.
But York pulls the gun on him anyway, and Melvin didn't say that the gun itself was useless. He said that it has a "safeguard" in it.
Then the script just kind of glosses over that. It was baffling.
Is this going to come to PC? I’m still having trouble running the first game on windows - any advice?
The gun's obviously not useless, Melvin just knows exactly what it's about (specially since it uses rubber bullets) and it's probably useless against the armor he was wearing at the time, or he knows how to disable it easily. It's just a "That weapon cannot harm me" moment. No need to explain further.
Doesn't seem like it.

I'm thinking it'll eventually come to PC to recoup costs or something. Just like Travis Strikes Again.
Are your textures broken? It shouldn't be purple should it?
> recoup costs
They're probably going to have to at some point. There's no way they didn't blow most of the budge ton something that left this game with the framerate it has.
I screenshotted it from a walkthrough. I found another video where it was red. I thought it was different gaming platforms at first until I remembered it's a Switch exclusive.
There's another video where he confronts Melvin from another Youtuber where it's purple.
It's purple because it's supposed to denote that it fires less lethal rounds.
Pretty sure mine was just black.
Now this is getting weird.
Is it bad that I hated her at first, and wanted her gone dead for the first two episodes?
The Alligator gets the colors from your Switch controller.
Purple is just standard.
so has anyone got to the part that was so "offensive" they had to issue an apology to the gays or something? Did a character say tranny or something
York deadnames a transgender who's also (kind of) the Big Bad.
He does it, like, once though. Then he sticks to the female name and pronouns.
It made sense in context because it's to show that he connected the dots on how important the transgender's former identity is to the plot, but even that caused a meltdown.
The tranny character's past before they transitioned was brought up as a plot point, big no no.
oh that is exceptionally stupid. Didn't that same happen with the McTrap in that Catherine re-release?
Can you guys answer me something? What was Lena's actual plan with her sister? Why was she pumping her full of Saint Rouge with Melvin? Was her saving Patti supposed to be a fuck you to Kaysen? Why? I'm sorry for all the questions, I understood most of the story but I think I'm overthinking some details.
Sort of, it was just her old name was shown in the credits beside her current one. It's not brought up in the story any more than the original.
I played on my Switch Lite and the gun will either be purple or blue. But when I play on my launch model Switch in docked mode, it's black.
Candy was eventually going to either become or give birth to some unholy abomination from the red world "the goddess of fertility" thanks to all the Saint Rouge. But somewhere along the line Lena realized what she was doing was wrong so she subtly pointed York where he needed to go in order to stop her and Kaysen's original plan thus killing Melvin and Candy before the goddess could be born and saving Patricia instead.
Candy/Lena's sister was supposed to be another sacrifice like Lise was along with Patricia. Their deaths were supposed to manifest/give birth to the Goddess of Fertility I think? I assumed that Candy was supposed to take on that form because she was in one of those transformation cocoon things.
I'm not certain on whether Patricia surviving was Lena's whole plan. I think Zach, Aaliyah, and Simon discuss it briefly and then just kind of shrug and say "Maybe, maybe not."
This makes a lot of sense, the skateboards the same, I noticed mine turned green when playing undocked, I guess left joycon is skateboard and right joycon is gun?
Makes sense. I kept thinking that the fertility title meant something for birthing Patti.
They didn't throw a fit when Erica was included the exclusively male sheep group? They didn't get it?
Why would it? Patti's already born.
I was thinking along the line of her destiny was to give birth to Patti or something. Idk.
I feel like I shouldn't be surprised you thought that because Deadly Premonition's red tree cult still hardly makes sense even though the story's clearly over.
