Lost big time to the 3DS, to the point where it's all but forgotten

>Lost big time to the 3DS, to the point where it's all but forgotten
>Still has games being released for it.
>3DS ended game production long ago.

Makes perfect sense.

What games have recently come out for the Vita?

Two upcoming titles are Ai Kiss and Super Meat Boy Forever

>to the point where it's all but forgotten
>ever since the 3.65 hack was published price keeps climbing again
>tfw will never ever buy a vita 1k for turbospergs at /vitagen/ keep buying weeb games keeping it alive so the price still won't drop
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

You should have gotten yours back in 2012, so that not only you would have have your mind exploded as to how pretty the graphics are, but also to prevent the best handheld of all time from failing.

It's always like this. Reminder that PS3 outlived TWO Nintendo consoles.

The Vita shall live forever.

>keeping it alive so the price still won't drop
The system is no longer in production. Buying more games won't change prices like that.
>buy a Vita 1K for

Feel kinda bad I threw my OG Vita with the busted display away now. Could've probably fixed it and hacked it.

>Buying more games won't change prices like that.
>limited numbers
>weebs keep wanting it
>prevents price from dropping
>You never could do that.
my gf bought a used 1k in 2016 for 70 euros
post your leftypol tab senpai

sony killed it though. I got a 2k pretty much free with a ps4 because they wouldn't sell where I live and the store had to move stock

what new games does it have? anything good?

Please direct me to the sea of weebs who are rushing to buy Vitas.

Sony killed it, because retards like you didn't buy it.

You're the problem here.

I bought it in 2012 and I'm still using it today
Great ROI imho

>quadrupling down on kike tier memory cards
>64gb only in nipland and has the highest failure rates of all the memory cards
>mediocre 1st party games at launch
>others ruined it
come on now

Did you get suckered into importing a 64 GB memory card from Japan, all for it to corrupt on you? Mine did.

Thankfully, I still had a 16 GB memory card, and I still use it, but only because I need it for a custom firmware which allows for VitaShell and SD2Vita (256 SD card, and I put all of my 64 games on it, all legitimately purchased or got for free via PS+, and it's just barely halfway full).

Thankfully, Sony also doesn't give two shits if you hack it, but my only concern right now is if the 100 bubble limit is real.

It's better now, and is the easiest system to hack.

Which is ironic, considering that Sony made the Vita specifically to PREVENT hacking (which, to be fair, was all but impossible to hack until 2016).

It's a shame Vita lost so badly. Amazing hardware for the time it released, best ergonomics out of any handheld, dpad that you could write books about.
I moved on to a Switch but every time i use it i just think of how much better Vita felt.

Vita should have not only had a stand or a cable to play it on a TV, but also should have been bundled with the PS4 for $100 more to save the handheld (competing with the same exact price that Microsoft did their Xbox One with the Kinect), and it would have gotten Sony's next handheld by now to compete with the Switch.

Not bundling it with the PS4 at launch was a massive mistake on Sony's end.

Doesnt sony already sell their consoles at a loss? I'm sure the vita was crazy expensive to produce, even if they sold a few more vita games I dont think it wouldve made them nearly enough money

Bought mine last year in Japan at 50usd, it was used, but in Japan, used is almost like new. I use it everyday.

You're forgetting the fact that the Vita has the highest game adoption ratio of any console, period.

Take a look at the sales figures for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, which was a title on 3DS and PS Vita. The Vita's sales blew the 3DS sales out of the water. Same goes for Rayman Origins, which had ports on the 3DS and Vita. The 3DS port was severely compromised and sold poorly, while the Vita version was EXACTLY the same as the console counterparts, and sold far better (even Rayman Legends, which is also on Vita, retained the touchscreen functionality that the Wii U version had, and the game was supposed to be a Wii U exclusive title, and I would only assume it sold more on Vita than on Wii U anyway). Metal Gear Solid 3 also must have sold more on Vita as part of the Metal Gear Solid HD collection (which also contains 2 and the MSX games), than it did standalone on the 3DS.

I enjoyed the 3DS's games a lot more than the Vita's games. The Vita's following may have been too small for me, but it's strong at least.

>Neglect to mention that they stopped production outside of Asian countries

But if its bundled with the ps4 and you automatically have both, why would anyone buy the vita copy instead of just the console version and streaming it to it.

This.

>In 2005, portable gaming was 2D shit like pokemon and 2D zelda until the PSP came out and had racing games and a 3D GTA game
>In 2017, portable gaming was small-scope 3D games with simple graphics until the Switch came out and had an open world Zelda game

Buying the psp and the switch when they came out blew me away with how.good the graphics were. The 3ds, at launch, was a bit above the psp, it wasnt THAT impressove

Because, internet access is absolutely everywhere at all times, and playing games created natively on the platform, even though you can buy it once and own it on multiple systems, is for losers.

>buying digital vita games
