WHAT SORT OF LUNATIC CAME UP WITH THIS FUCKING THINGS?
FUCKING DIE OF CANCER YOU PIECE OF SHIT
WHAT SORT OF LUNATIC CAME UP WITH THIS FUCKING THINGS?
FUCKING DIE OF CANCER YOU PIECE OF SHIT
>slow and telegraphed attacks
>doesn't respawn
yea
it literally only works 1 (once) on you if you dont know its coming and dont know to check for it. its a really easy mob to beat
Doesnt almost every jap game have mimics?
I remember the first time running into one of these motherfuckers, it was startling
that's my problem with it, it's a new player trap and then it's just useless
stupid idea really
je baited
I died more often to DS2 mimics than all the bosses combined
epic, love getting punished for playing without reading walkthroughs
mimics are cool, I love it when on a tabletop adventure the rogue goes full retard into it and gets fucking chomped
>WHAT SORT OF LUNATIC CAME UP WITH THIS FUCKING THINGS?
The Chad himself
like the faggot you are, go die on the streets
Dying is a mechanic in Dark Souls. You get your shit back and reheal but enemies come back. You have to die to know what to expect. If you can't handle that then play something else cupcake.
That's how you git gud btw. Trial and error.
git gud?
>t.neckbeards on 15th playthrough
if your solution is to complain rather than check chests for mimics.... Don't need a walkthrough to learn to be careful in a game where not dying is priority #1
>the first one taught you that it can happen
>the second one made sure you won't forget
>if you're still getting eaten by mimics after that you're retarded
Not our fault your brain is filled with molasses.
opening chest was supposed to be my safe space.
it's fucking lame having to check each chest, and because i play with rapier they're still not easy to kill
>Rapier
>DS1
bro you are using one of the best weapons, you have to be baiting
>safe space
recalibrate your brain to the context of where you are, what you're talking about, who you may be talking to, and realize nobody fucking cares
The first one is in Sens, which is obviously made up of lots of different traps so a player shouldnt trust anything they come across.
A player should be very cautious and untrusting when they come across the chest. I know for my first playthrough I checked the room for anything that resembled a trap.
The chest is placed in a weird position, off center in the middle of the room. This should be a huge red flag. If the player looks close enough, they can see the chest is breathing too.
If they die, its no big deal bc its pretty close to a bonfire and have learned their lesson for the rest of the game.
Stop falling for obvious bait, user.
>complain about needing a walkthrough
>not for finding Ash Lake
>not for obtaining Slabs
>not for finding covenants
>not for getting to Painted World
>not for finding illusory walls
>but for mimics that you fall for once if you don't make a habit of attacking chests
He hasnt gotten to those parts, we're sure to get a new thread when he gets there.
is it really ? i have ricard's rapier should i reinforce it to max? i was holding it back thinking i would get a better weapon eventually
the first one is telegraphed enough that if you're actually paying attention and playing ultra autistically you may know something is up even if you don't know there are mimics in the game. if you aren't playing on that level of autism, then you've got no room to cry about things being unfair, just take the death and enjoy the ride. it's not anymore bullshit than the dragon burning the bridge in undead burg
my only complaint is that in 6 playthroughs Ive never once seen a symbol of avarice drop
messages take care of most of that shit, but i'm not sure if that's actually a good excuse
The first mimic you can find is in Sen's. You can get to Ash Lake, find some covenants and illusory walls by then.
I'm 100% certain messages point out mimics, too.
Yes, RR is fantastic in DS1. The heavy attack is godtier with damage. Upgrade it to +15, and rely on consumable resins for elemental damage when you need them. Rotten Pine Resin is your friend for PvP--the R2 flurry of thrusts basically ensures poison gets applied.
just attack chest before opening it
is it too much for your little brain?
get fucked noob
>probably died countless times due to not knowing boss moves, fighting too many enemies at once, etc
>die to a mimic
>NOOOOO WHAT IS THIS THE GAME IS SHIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ARE EXPECTED TO DIE SO YOU CAN LEARN
First mimic I found was because I randomly attacked a chest by accident and it woke up.
>slow
Yes
no
it's a guaranteed drop when you kill the last mimic in the game, i guess you've always missed one
>mage cucks
