He had 2 major games, and 3 or 4 Gameboy advanced games, and 1 remake.
The GBA games had most of the mechanics of the main series and were fire cheaper and quicker to make, but the story was significantly more trivial: Transparently reusing story elements and characters from the main series and lacking any subtlety and cryptic visual storytelling the main games had.
It's likely Yoshizawa said everything he had to say with the first 2 games, or he didn't want to bother puting as much effort into the storytelling and art of the game if he couldn't get a AA budget for it.
A proper remake of the second game would be nice since it glitches out on HD TVs, but I'm kinda glad they aren't desperate to keep him relevent with anual cash-in games.

Klonoa 2 breaks on high resolution displays. Every time a cutscene starts the display drops out for a second and you miss the beginning of it.
That's the only thing I really meant by that.
