Have you ever dropped a game because it made you read too much?

Have you ever dropped a game because it made you read too much?

No.

Only some porn games.

No, I'm heterosexual.

I dropped Planescape: Torment for this exact reason. I liked what I saw of the game a lot, but I was already reading two different books at the time and didn't want to divide my attention between too many things.

Pathologic doesn't even have much reading though

No, and I played shit out of Morrowimd, Pathologic 1 and 2 and Planescape.

The only exception where a game bore me to death with written exposition was Pillars of Eternity 1. But the gameplay was shit too

How much of a fucking dunce do you have to be to drop Pathologic 2 because of READING?

why would you read two books at the same time?

That was a while ago, but I'm pretty sure it was a nonfiction book and a fiction book.

Yes

Do you play more than two games?

no

>Have you ever dropped a game because you're retarded?
No.

You just let your mom finish them for you?

it isn't that much to read. i guess i can understand being confused about all the weird terms they use, but none of that stuff really matters. you can play the whole game without reading much of the character's dialogue.

I dropped Pillars of Eternity because the combat didn't really feel satisfying or fluid, but most of the text was so long-winded and unrelated to the story that I'm not sure I'll go back to it, or bother with the sequel. Got it for cheap from a bundle, so I'm not bummed about it.

I don't mind reading games, though. Loved Torment, and currently really enjoying Disco Elysium.

Pathologic 2 doesn't even have that much reading. I did have to put it on hold at day 4 because it became overwhelmingly stressful. I'll come back to it soon.

I got this a while ago when Zig Forums wouldn't shut up about it being the new Fallout. What a waste of money. There's not even too much reading, it's just fanfiction-tier nonsense with no cohesive atmosphere to speak of. Underrail is so much better.

If you dropped pathologic 2 because of too much reading you are probably one of our melanin enriched friends

if you think day 4 is stressful you are in for a rude surprise

>tfw managed to finish the original pathologic with the old translation years ago

Yeah, I'm certain I pussed out at essentially the first hurdle, but I'll man up at some point and bear through it.

Any game with logs. It's objectively bad design, don't defend it, just accept it and play better games.

get filtered pleb

No, I simply didn't like how wonky and poorly optimized it was

Uninstalled it after I died from hunger on day 2. Glad I didn't pay for it.

This honestly. I'm glad you're doing your best, but purple prose is exhausting to chug through.

Don't you guys have food?

Also, the Devs will starve now because of you.

No

>dying from hunger on day 2
Holy shitter

I dropped Pathologic 2 for this reason. Also because it was clunky and just felt weird.

Yeah, I've never been able to finish a VN because of this
Most of my favorite games, like Pathologic 2, dorfs and Morrowind, have very little or no voice acting at all

Dangerously high iq

I'm working through the first one with the new translation right now, and its suprisingly relaxing so far

Did you buy the bull?

what is the point in the bull?

It predicts the future

no?

The first days are weirdly comfy, walking around town and talking with people.
