More like they've been shitty about announcements for the entire generation except for the first year, where they made up a bunch of projects that never existed, like Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and shit.

They weren't, but they're probably so ass-backwards they did not have infrastructure to enable working from home, so all their plans for this year got flushed down the toilet by corona.

At this point I'm convinced that it's just people samefagging / falseflagging, because this is at least the 9th or 10th time there has been a "leaked date" for a Direct, only for it to be completely false.
