Best starting class?
Best starting class?
Pugilist
Probably lancer.
Arcanist, 2 for one.
Conjurer. Better to heal and do damage yourself to speed up dungeons than let someone else only spam Cure 1 anytime an enemy breaths on the tank, making dungeons take forever.
I'll argue doing the story as a DPS is better, you'll get more out of the exp. Queue times for healers and tanks are a lot shorter and faster to level later on.
Arcanist
>Most fun caster DPS
>can swap to Scholar for instant dungeon ques at will
>Queue times for healers and tanks are a lot shorter and faster to level later on.
It's fucking insane how much different it is queuing as DPS compared to tank/healer. Like 15 minute wait times compared to guaranteed instant groups.
If you want instant queues and never waiting around just go Gladiator or Marauder.
current patch White Mage will put you to sleep until you hit level fucking 50 and finally get your first oGCD heal
Anything that starts in Ul'dah. For Lore reasons later on
Also protip: When the game tells you to set aside enough time to watch a cutscene, it means it.
Another protip: If you care about Lore and such, make sure to do all Crystal Tower raidquests. Not just for Lore, but also because it unlocks the raids for your daily roulletes.
Have fun user!
gatherers scripts are a pain in the fucking ass
Literally anything that isn't a DPS
You forgot to add, don't play on Crystal DC.
I'm a Yuropoor so I don't have to deal with that anyway. Allthough I did end up on the unofficial frenchie server.
I'd say Gladiator. Lore wise it's best to start in Uldah, and tanking is fun for doing dungeons for the first time.
>warrior always looked really cool to me in this
i'd want to try that if I ever played
I hear lots of horror stories about the french. I'm europeein too but I play on Primal and like it there for the most part.
Doesn't matter where you go on Euro, its either the Germans or the French. I miss the old days of only having one Data Center
WAR is cool, too bad the Job quests are kinda ass.
To be fair, I haven't really ran into too much trouble with them, aside from ending up in a Dung/PotD with all Frenchies except me and having to watch the chat turn into HON HON HON BAUGETTE.
WAR is ooga booga shit made for single digit IQ chuds
>play on Chaos
>subjected to play with clueless frenchies
>play on Light
>subjected to play with retarded krauts
you just can't win
I tried out every single Tank Job and all of them felt really easy to me. Only GNB is more involved but that's not even hard either.
is that suppose to be a drawback
>you get a free 35k gil per day just for having your gatherers at level ~70 or above
why wasn't I told about this? map selling is easy money and a guaranteed instant sell on MB
>35k
chump change
>free million gil per month
it adds up. helps especially since it took me ~5m gil to level all my crafters this month
TWO POINT FIVE SECONDS
Best melee at the moment for end game?
What'd you do with all your crafter levels?
Unrelated, but great movie desu. Rare instance of Waititties being the worst part of a film.
Crystal Tower is required now for the main story
MNK is objectively the worst at the moment.
Its a toss up between drg, nin and sam. SAMs adps is so strong that many groups just run with that, but a lot of parties run double melee, 1 caster 1 ranged, so its usually SAM and then either nin or drg paired with it.
>1 ABILITY
>play SAM
>get DRK tether
>get DNC partner
>AST throws all melee cards on me
feels good to be king
I've never been able to get into SAM. I have all the jobs at 80 just for completions sake, but sam is one of my least favorite dps.
In my static I just swap between drg/nin depending on what everyone else is playing, although I prefer drg.
I used to main tanks from 2.x-4x, but they lobotomized the tank role in shadowbringers so fuck that.
How do I have fun with this game? Got it a week ago and, at lvl31, I am bored to tears. Already don't feel like booting it up again, but I'm pissed at potentially having wasted money so I want to keep trying.
>but they lobotomized the tank role in shadowbringers
they fucked healers too, especially Scholar
seriously, after all the shit they have done to them, DRK, MCH and SCH don't feel like the jobs they originally were, they have been fucked six ways to sunday, though to MCH's credit, its actually fun now after the absolute fucking trainwreck that was SB MCH, at least ShB MCH is playable if you don't play on dial up, I don't even want to get into how badly DRK has been fucked over the years, with all the good bits removed and now we are left with Diet Warrior
The uninstall wizard
It's more of the same, but marginally better, until level cap and beyond. If you don't like it now, you won't like it at level 50, 60 or 80. Just drop it while you're ahead.
then dont play it. classes flesh out the more you level but I know people like you and you're almost always the worst players I've ever seen.
>I used to main tanks from 2.x-4x, but they lobotomized the tank role in shadowbringers so fuck that.
I fucking feel you on that one. Tanks are SO fucking bad now, they removed any and all nuances the role had and just made it a really bad/simplified melee dps with a stance. you literally 1-2-3, face the boss away from the party and parse 90th percentile. You also get to ignore tons of mechanics because loltank and shbs fight design.
They fucked healers too. So many healer and tank players I know dropped both after shadowbringers, and I remember an interview with yoshi saying he wanting to make those two roles more accessible for people who were nervous about it. But all it accomplished was alienating the playerbase that was already into them. Fucking dumb gook.
if you enjoy healing you're a fag, simple as.
