Best Metal Gear game (barring MGRR) is the one where Kojima doesn't have a writing or directing credit. Why is this?

Why do these companies hate easy, low risk money?

It's very good, but it's just a MGS1 retelling.

Everyone knows La Creatividad is a hack and had built his empire on the skeletons of others. This isn't news.

The age old question

Didn't he coincidentally also have nothing to do with MGR:R?

Ghost Babel and VR Missions are great games, possibly because they're the only MGS games that actually have a gameplay-first approach. MGS series is good for the most part but it's nice to have a couple straight-forward no-bullshit games like that. Revengenace is similar, to an extent.

>Not the psp card games

Are the Metal Gear Acid games good?

Yeah, they're solid card-based strategy games. A friend of mine swears by them.

Ghost Babel is a little overrated. It's good, and impressive for GBC, but the best in the series? Get real. Maybe the best 2D MG.
Nobody ever mentions that awful conveyor belt level.

The artwork looks sick, I might pick them up after finishing the rest of the series

best gameplay out of all desu ngl

Whats the deal with card based video games being the best games in the series? Pokemon TCG, Kingdom Hearts CoM, I'm sure theres more

You have dogshit trash taste, fuck off back to plebbit idiot.

primitive format thats easier to squeeze out the fun and easily caters to all skill levels because it removes mechanical skills. Good thing I'm also a PvP and fps chad so I get to enjoy fun from more genres than most. Feels good.

>Best Metal Gear game (barring MGRR)
It isn't. It's better than the usual low-budget portable namemake, but it'soverrated by hipsters and contrarians.
>is the one where Kojima doesn't have a writing or directing credit.
The story is literally a rehash of stuff already done in the MSX Metal Gears and MGS1 and Black Arts Viper is just the DBZ filler movie version of Liquid Snake.

Deck-building is fun. I should try out more single-player card-based games.

Solid Snake on the MSX didn't have the cardboard puzzle, so it's better by default.

I had never seen anyone call VR Missions their favorite. Shit wasn't even supposed to be sold stand-alone. It was included as a bonus in the English dubbed version of MGS1 in Japan.

Not a favorite MG but a nice game.

Nah, they suck.

Acid 1 had this really awful backtracking mission. You infiltrate this one factory and it's a really long level. Which is fine, until the game tells you to shut off the factory's power. Now you gotta backtrack through that long level again in the dark. Besides that, the story is kooky about paranormal kids or whatever. Doesn't make a lick of sense, really.

Acid 2 had a more generic forgettable story. Can't really remember much of it, honestly. All I recall is that the second Metal Gear you fight can stomp you to death instantly. It moves around a lot without warning and it can be really frustrating to beat.

Same reason the NES Contra was never on the Virtual Console, even though they kept putting out Super C and Contra III on every new Nintendo device. Konami was just weird like that.

Because it's a carbon copy of MG2

Shut up, Henry.

MGS1 has the best codec calls.

These guys are like those 2000's era edgy scifi nintendo-ass minish cap looking villains. Somehow more of a joke than risings villains. Why is it everything nintendo has to be aimed at the most baby demographic?

>tfw no ghost babel 2
it could've been a gba game

no. Kojima stopped MGRR from being cancelled, gave the project to Platinum to save it, was part of the team that worked on the story, and requested that Platinum make it a 60fps game. Yoji Shinkawa designed Raiden.

my B

It's funny that Kojima haters think that just because he didn't write nor direct every Metal Gear game, he didn't had any involvement in any of them, which is not true. He still had some form of influence at the end.

P.S. The Fukushima meme is just a meme.
