ITT games that were genuinely good but review bombed by incels and Zig Forumstards because it went against their...
It was genuinely 7/10
Well, no, "asexual lesbians" and dudes being "educated" by hippie bitches into becoming milquetoast assholes are reality. Because, you know, there they are. I'm great numbers.
I'd say an 8.5/10 and there's nothing wrong with that. Most games are overrated anyway since reviewers are bribed.
The game was a massive disappointment. They tried so hard to get the "multiple approaches" thing going, but it just felt really forced.
The story made no sense and nothing felt like it mattered. "lol amoral hyper-capitalism" gets boring really fast and there is no sense of depth to the world or the characters. Everyone is just a stereotype.
The guns are boring and the shooting is passable at best. High difficulties only turn enemy into one-shotting bullet-sponges.
The ending felt rushed as fuck, especially the city planet which was just two blocks and a piece of sewer.
7/10 it was decent but not mind blowing in any respect and didn't live up to its potential
It's a 4/10 game people pretend is a 7/10 because of nostalgia for obsidian.
Epic thread, OP. But you should consider posting in this thread. All cRPGs are welcoem!
As a big obsidian fan i have to say this was pretty mediocre. I expected way more from them.
You actually played this turd? Are you taking stupid pills?
>great rpg perks/stats system
>great story with branching paths and multiple endings
>can kill anyone
>can solve each planets issues with more ways than apparent
>crafting/customization system
>great side quests
Only real issue is number of weapons is lacking and melee is overpowered as usual.
Also lack of mod support is a buster, but apparently now that Obsidian is done wasting their time on Switch ports they are going to do a DLC and mod support
5/10.
No choices, just 2 endings and one is stupid evil, characters are SJW and not interesting, parvatti character change is horrible specially if you don't help her be a dyke because she kills herself, the NPCs and the world is not really interesting neither, the side quests are pretty bad, and I couldn't have a gay threesome with the black haired handsome companion and the Vicar.
Add to the list the character creator is PURE PURE cancer and I tried to make the whitest character yet he ended up coming black with afro hair.
I don't think Obsidian is big enough to rate review bombing.
It makes no difference if you anger the tens of Obsidian fans.
It was genuinely 4/10 and only because it was mostly bug-free.
That's the best thing I can say about the game.
It was mediocre, the lack of budget really showed.
Painfully bland, i tried to love it, at first i fooled myself into thinking this game is good, it didn't last long until i kneeled and started sucking todd off while playing fallout 76 because that game is unironically better
How tf did it lack budget? Where were those Obsidian fans who constantly trash Bethesda? Why weren't they donating money so Outer Worlds was good?
I had to stand them for months saying how this was the best game ever and now they are nowhere to be seen, hiding in shame, it's pathetic.
But I can't expect any less from people who hate Fallout 4.
>great rpg perks/stats system
You clearly never played the game.
If you think maxing out all your skills and perks that only make some numbers bigger then you've never played a single good RPG.
better than bethesda shit
This is the most 5/10 game I've ever played. It's functional, there are things to do. There was some effort put into the world and characters. The problem is that it just so fucking boring and by the books. Nothing unique about the gunplay, the towns, the quests, the character building, nothing.
7/10 for the first planet, sure, but everything after that, when you step off the planet and go to the space station and literally the rest of the game was a dumpster fire trash heap.
It legitimately feels like Tim and Leonard worked on the first planet (which was actually really good), then left and let a C-Team studio take over, inject their pointless politics and shit all over what Tim and Leonard originally created.
5/10 as an overall package at best
>Outer Worlds
>good
That can't be true. I've even see reddit saying that after the beginning its incredibly mediocre/subpar
Based against the wind user
Was okay, i pirated so i didn't care about financing some agenda.
I like the characters and even went super autistic to close quests in a way where i imagined that the people would like. Tried to do little harm and only eliminate key figures that i felt, were a source of evil or problems.
My imagination went beyond what the game could explain. I imagined that some of my actions had great consequences, even if it was never shown by the game.
Armor variety was a bit low. But on the other hand, it's okay, not every game has to have some super complex armor system, but you end up using only a few sets.
The only bummer was the difficulty. I played on the hardest but after a while enemies became to easy.
Good game, pulled me in way more than a lot of the modern games these days.
This shit felt like half a game
>good
I paid $1 for a trial and didn’t make it even 3 hours for fuck’s sake
It was alright, I don't regret playing it anyways. It was so fucking easy though, like embarrassingly easy.
You shills are pathetic
Unironically... NO.
FO76. Fucking, FO76 had more impactful and interesting perks. In that game, builds actually exist, in the Outer Worlds, everyone plays exactly the same.
Good concept but it needed polishing. If they would stuck with it upgraded it changed something and so on it would be good game.
Generous, it's a 6 at best. Criminally mediocre and boring.
>genuinely good
it was a 6/10 tops
gameplay was good but it commits the worst sin an RPG can commit
the world, characters and quests are just so generic and forgettable, it is unforgivable
and yes, I played it from start to finish, it tries to be the next Fallout but completely fails at capturing what made the Fallout universe special
please, it was OK at best.
already almost forgotten.
>Obsidian recycles the same "cannibal family" twist quest again
I got bored with the first planet. Combat was functional but stale. Story seemed like it wanted you to take it seriously, but then they threw in quests like "finding the body makes you next of kin" or whatever the fuck it was. Setting was also really goofy, but not in a charming way. It felt like it was built on the creation engine, but lacked all the interactivity the creation engine has.
When I got to the space station after the first planet I went on a shooting spree then turned the game off and never went back.
Seethe zoomie
Same family from F3 too.
>great rpg perks/stats system
You didn’t play the game
>great story with branching paths and multiple endings
Seriously, you didn’t play the game
I’m ok with shilling here and there as long as the shill actually played the game, this is just sad, praising a game you never played for the sake of fitting in
an identical experience to mine. I gave the game two separate chances and got bored at the same spot.
Not to mention that the rpg stuff is pretty lacking too, most of the perks are generic boosts to stats and there's very little variety in the weapons and armor, with most of them being reskins. There's little reason to go above 50 in most skills so all characters you make mostly feel the same.
I did play the game on xbox game pass on release, fuck off.
