would this game even be worth pirating if it meant none of the social online aspects?
exactly how important are they?

its fun to see signs and warnings, equipment like ladders and ropes left by other thoughtful players and being able to reward them for it.
but you can still play the game without it, its just more fun this way, spices up the gameplay

It's kind of like playing dark souls offline.

oh, so not that bad then

The golden hat and sunglasses are fucking obnoxious in cutscenes and I love it

How large is the game world? Is there larger settlements at all or is it just 99% wilderness?

removing the online means you have to grind all the infrastructure entirely on your own

Think of it like this, if you played offline, any shortcuts you wanted, you'd have to make yourself, while if you played online as soon as you unlocked the tools to make those shortcuts, the shortcuts I already made would be there for you to use.

There's merits to both IMO.

True, I have an offline and online account.

Which one do you prefer? Does difficulty affect those equipments left behind by others at all?

It's playable but ruins some of the /vibe/ and there's certainly fun knowing your stuff helps people

I'd hate that, I'd love leaving troll traps for them though.

I played the first 3 chapters offline because I'd misplaced my PSN password and was having too much fun to care. Then I got back online and the game was instantly improved. Don't rob yourself of the online experience.

Why does this game look like a PS2 game?

Try playing it. It's gorgeous. Fucking pleb.

its worse than that, plus it wont be cracked, rdr2 wasnt either probably using the same version hehe

RDR2 doesn't even use denuvo you mongoloid.

cope

Feels like I'm doing it mostly myself (for roads at least) but I guess it's a fine balance, would be annoying if all the shit had already been built. The occasional find of someones rope or ladder saving your ass is an awesome experience.

Ahh, the classic retort of the butthurt retard.

Don't be so serious...

Yeah nah, it looks like MGSV with higher res textures.

Stop leaving your goddamn bikes in the middle of the roads, it's annoying as shit to need to despawn them. Almost makes me want to play offline.
Sometimes there's some fun shit, saw some guys truck face down at the base of a cliff slightly clipped into the map. I haven't been able to flip or get a vehicle completely stuck so kudos to that guy.

You probally find that only one or two are poping up for other players

would definitely recommend playing online
>removes/reduces some of the annoying parts (e.g. getting enough material to build roads)
>you have signs and other indirect interactions with other players
>can pick up cargo/equipments others dropped or left behind and even request items for delivery
>its nice getting likes for stuff you left behind for other players
>just pretty cool in general to see what other players build and where
