This kills me inside.

That's a map, my friend.
Perhaps you'll find aught of use.
greedfall?
I actually liked it. Open "World" games where you can walk for a few minutes and go from a volcano to tropical jungle, to a tundra, to a desert always seemed dumb to me. Keeping the adventure in a localized and semi realistic area made things feel more believable to me if that makes any sense, like Gransys could be a real place if you ignore the monsters and magic.
me need reuhlism in muh fantasy gaymes
lmao what a shitty and tiny world
I genuinely loved how the big fantasy city (tm) was just the small capital of a shitty duchy.
That game was such boring, putrid ass. I regret buying it.
>you will never fight giants on the moon
>all because Capcom needed to fly the devs to the west in order to save the development of DmC:FUCK YOU edition
It's all so tiresome.
The only thing that kills me is that goddamn final section, the Everfall can go fuck itself.
Gransys is literally the worst of both worlds.
It's a tiny area that's also somehow sparely populated by the same 4 enemies over and over again. WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS, ARMED ROGUES, GOBLINS FEAR FIRE, SAURIANS BECAREFUL YOU'RE NOT SOAKED IN WATER!
We should be on Dragon's Dogma 3 by now and we should all be laughing at how bad the first game's world was.
Hopefully they don't cut anything sequel.
Any story needs some base that is stationed in reality, no matter how fantastic it might be. Something like topography is a good base unless there is some explicit reason for the land to be markedly different from Earth's despite all of the other similarities it might share with the setting.
Game?
I love games without artificial barriers and just naturally have strong enemies in different regions and it's up to you to decide when you feel like you're ready to tackle them. Such that if you're good and you've mastered the combat mechanics you can conquer that level 40 area at level 10-20. You get it a lot in MMOs but Single Player games nowadays either go all level scaling bullshit or the entire game is """open""" world but actually just a linear game.
Dururagansu Douguuma Daaku Aulisanu
xenoblade has been doing this since the first entry and that's why i respect their world design
i'm glad the map wasn't any bigger. getting from one side of the map to the other is already a timesink until you can get a bunch of portcrystals.
muhh i need muh reuhleesim for muh fantasy gaem
I want my pawn to sit on my face!
"Basis in reality" doesn't mean the same thing as "realism" or "realistic" user.
Running around when exploring was a huge pain. They should have made it that so there's no stamina use outside of combat like in MHW.
muhh i need muh reuhlism for muh fantasey wurld
Is it really "cut content" if it never got past the planning stages? It's unlikely that they made much of anything that isn't in the released game.
?? sprinting out of combat drains stamina in mhw
This is why Dragon's Dogma was a 6.6/10 but Dark Arisen is a 10/10.
Now listen here you stupid little shit, I've tried to be civil with you but since that doesn't seem to be working I'm going to have to teach you a thing or two the hard way if you don't stop misconstruing my stance with your mocking and ungrammatical shitposts.
mwuh mwweee mwoommrooooom mruhuhuhuhuheeeee
It doesn't. Only in the older games it does.
MOOOOOOOODSSSSSS!!
MOOOOOOOOOOODSSSSSSSSS!!!!
LOW QUALITY POSTING RIGHT HERE, BAN HIM! BAN HIM!!!
I bet your heart is beating pretty fast right now, huh? I warned you, didn't I?...but you can stop your panic attack, I didn't actually report you, but I imagine you've been scared straight so I won't let you worry more than necessary. I didn't want to do that to you user, but you need to show your fellow posters a bit more respect, ok?
now I know Pragmata has nothing to do with DD but what if it was the same world just vastly different time periods? That'd be cool
Hell I would take another game that was nothing but Bitterblack Isle made about 10 times bigger.
What's up with capcom's fixation on the moon?
