Why are the dungeons so long?
Why are there so many random encounters?
Why are the enemies so strong?
Why are the bosses so hard?
Why do I keep dying?
Why are the save points so far apart?
What the fuck is even happening in the story?
Why does this game keep kicking me when I'm down?
Was this game made by assholes?
Why are the dungeons so long?
lick my prick
if you defeat the enemies in the dungeons, you will gain money and experience points
that might make it easier for you to avoid dying
fuck you nigger biiiiiiiitch
mad cause bad?
Its a dungeon crawler.
Thats how they are supposed to be. You are complaining a platformer has jumping
The only thing I hate about this game is not letting me choose the skills I want for my new demons during fusion. Fuck the retard who made it random.
Casual
its mildly annoying but you can just reshuffle over and over til you get what you want
that's fair
it bothered me more in strange journey
retard
You're playing a real JRPG now, son.
I'm playing through Nocturne for the first time after dropping 4 for being too easy and I'm loving it so far. Only thing is that I heard you can seriously fuck up your MC. Am I focusing too much on strength?
>Why is this JRPG a game instead of being a glorified VN
The only thing you could fuck up without being retarded is not leveling I think the ice magatama enough to get Fog Breath or using a low acc move like Iron Claw as your main physical attack
>Am I focusing too much on strength?
You can stop at 30 strength because there's a magatama later that gives you +10 strength when you have it equipped.
Just make sure you get war cry and fog breath.
which dungeons do you think are too long? i really feel like that's something they got just right, especially compared to most jrpgs. only one that dragged for me was the midgame obelisk dungeon and even that wasn't so bad.
a lot of the rest of your complaints can kind of be summarily addressed with "git gud". yeah, there are a lot of random encounters, and you should be be finishing most of them so you aren't underleveled. most bosses in the game have a pretty clear cut strategy of exploiting their elemental weakness AND covering your own weaknesses. dying in a first encounter with some bosses is expected because you might need to feel out their moveset and change your party/magatama accordingly. and you buffs/debuffs are basically a necessity, don't ignore them.
One more casual rejected.
Don't worry, strength is your most important stat
Awesome, thanks.
I know that strength is the best stat for damage, but I'm just wondering if I'm not leveling vitality or agility enough.
Nocturne is a game where weaknesses, ailments, and getting new party members isn't a good idea, it's mandatory.
Also the random encounter thing, SMT is just really bad about that.
I put some points in agility at the start, but I pretty much rushed strength after a certain point until 30. I was also playing on normal, so this experience could be vastly different for you and you might need some points in vitality if playing on hard mode.
I looked for this game from the year 2005 to 2015. I finally emulated it and played a little. I found the disc at a playntrade shortly after. I felt really lucky. I played it and realized it was complete shit. It's like xenosaga for retards. The raidou sequel for PS2 is much better. Digital devil saga is slightly better. This game fucking sucks. If anyone was going to give it a chance it was me. It has all the worst elements of a Japanese rpg. We can stop pretending it's not shit.
Nah, I'm on normal. I might play through again on hard once I get a feel for this game, though. It's already tougher than SMT4, but I guess that's not saying much.
Explain how Nocturne is anything like Xenogsaga
the key similarity for this comparison is that he hasn't played either
yes this is aids and is the main reason i want a rerelease. this one change would vastly improve the game
rerolling over and over isn't that bad if you only want one specific move, but if you want two, it can be a pain in the ass. i've never bothered with even trying to get three moves from a reroll
>Goro Majima
based and yakuza pilled
The game is a jrpg, if you get filtered by the easiest genre out there you shouldn't be allowed to play video games period
