Holding back/losing on purpose is one of the worst things you can do. Losing completely can feel shitty, but knowing that you're being given pity is 10x worse.

Currently at Uni, gone through four girls that played games. They had fucking shit taste, one spent 1.5k on a gaming rig after we got together and then didn't play it and instead played nothing but AAA releases on her PS4.
The second complained she didn't like RTS games (me and my friends played Stellaris etc) so when we invited her to play Siege, she used a controller and would ragequit.
The third only played shitty indie games on Steam and was a OW Genji main. Refused to play any other FPS, refused to play RTS games, hated fighting games, righrfully disliked MOBAs and only wanted to repeatedly co-op Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead (in a private lobby no less).
4th seemed great, was in to anime and had hundreds of hours in RTS and RPG games. Played Divinity OS 2 with her, and she just skipped all dialogue and whined when she walked in to combat. Only played RTS games against bots with no PvP. Only watched Netflix anime (which was shit until recently).
Now I have a boyfriend and he is based. Girls are for fags.
