I think Kyd did some great stuff with AC2's soundtrack, but Brotherhood and especially Revelations didn't match up.
Valhalla's stuff sounds totally different at least.

How? Because he doesn't start the game as an Assassin? Ezio isn't officially an Assassin for the majority of the events of AC2, neither is Edward in 4, or Shay in Rogue, or Bayek in Origins.
Notice how those are also all the best games in the series.

I suppose I was too cocky saying it was at the end, but I remember it being later on. Maybe when I played, I spent a lot of time fucking around early on and then rushed the second half of the story. Point is, Ezio wasn't a formal Assassin for at least half the game, and nobody whines about it.
