I want to believe
but after 4 and 5 it's not possible

I believe that it’s going to absolutely fucking suck because 343i is one of the worst, most incompetent group of dumb fuck developers that were ever handed the easiest license on earth.

He’s in

It's going to be good, isn't it?

Combat’s going to evolve... AGAIN

BRUTES ARE BACK

Attached: EdiKC6uUEAAt80O.png (3000x1352, 3.6M)

>grappling hook on arm.
no god no

why? even bungie admitted that brutes were a mistake. what a boring enemy to fight.

I played Combat Evolved when I was 5, my favorite mission was the snow one where you can ride a banshee and shoot at the covenant. I pussied out at the next level though, that flood thing was way too scary for me

Noone cares retard go play Halo 30 next year

Brutes are fun. On Legendary Elites are boring as fuck. You are forced to use the plasma pistol plus headshot combo on them or you die, no other choice. And while you still can use that on Brutes you can also use other shit.
I'm not hating Elites and i'm just saying Brutes added some variation to the combat.

Wow its gonna be so fun shoving 37 rockets up a brute's ass only for it to not kill it on legendary.

the snow level is Assault on the Control Room
a few levels after is Two Betrayals and its the same map but its dark and the covenant and the flood are fighting each other and you can either get involved or watch the fight play out. its pretty cool.

So what will be the lore reason for Spartan Armor suddenly changing so dramatically again while a galaxy changing event is occurring?

Attached: HW2_-_spartan_armor_shield.jpg (956x538, 117.19K)

this
>antigrav hammer
>brute technology and vehicules
>goes in an autistic berzerk rage
>a dozen of variations

Brutes were great in 3

there were too one dimensional. if 343 adds variety to their combat then I guess it's work. though they're probably bringing the brutes back just to bring the brute chooper back. if the brute chopper is in, then I won't mind brutes coming back because it'll be worth it. what a fun vehicle that was.

I miss xbox bros. Thankfully big daddy trump bought me a PS5 and a Series X. I cant wait!

the only good thing about brutes were their weapons and vehicles. the actual enemy sucked.

how many hours until the conference?

nanomachines. Look it up.

You're probably right but I'm going to hold onto hope until after the gameplay tomorrow

Brutes were the Viking/Reaver to the Elite’s Samurai/Soldier. They were a neat foil and gave the covenant as a whole more personality.

assault on the control room was fantastic. it felt 100% like hoth, so even at launch it felt nostalgic

25

Cool armor. Lore reason could be its from a spartan 4 team we haven't seen yet
But that's just sexy concept art

4 was good brainlet 5 was a shitshow

Enjoy your destiny clone.

>4 was good
nice meme

why is halo CE so fucking memorable while the sequel is so boring?

I played CE 2 years ago for the first time and it was a blast, the open levels, the vibran skyboxes, the flood slow build up and reveal, only the library was garbage and then the massive backtracking but the rest was pure kino, the final warthog run was insane to witness

I tried halo 2 a couple of weeks ago and I became bored shortly after taking control of arbiter, it's so fucking linear and dull while the dual wielding seems to add nothing, they also massively nerfed the shotgun which was one of the greatest guns ever made in CE, what's the god damn hype?

>4 was good
4 was the reason 5 sucked.

Snoyfags will never ever play this, eternally btfo

Halo, The Silent Cartographer, and Assault on the Control Room are one of the best FPS missions in gaming. it's a shame that Halo never revisited that level layout. I don't think Infinite will though. it may be open world but the missions will have to require exploring the open world and not be in a tight space.

Same Halo 1 as a kid was amazing.
Played through it again recently on legendary again and it is still as annoying as I remember. Fuck Assault on the Control Room on legendary.

be more specific, I’m talking the campaign was good

Rumor is it’s a map pickup

4's campaign was decent. Not as good as the other Halo's but a decent game.

I think CE was a passion project for bungie and the rest weren't. at least for the campaign team. the multiplayer team went ham with halo 2 and 3.

Every game that 343 made was trash.

No it fucking wasn't, are you fucking dumb? Are you that same retard that thinks it's good because it has no niggers in it?

I don't think so. If it's in a promotional image like this, I'm leaning on it being default.

silent cartographer is the best FPS level IMO. perfect balance of everything.

Campaign goes 1>4>3>2>>>>>>>>>

CE > 3 > Reach > 2 > 4 >>>>>>>> 5

Attached: hold up one second.jpg (604x604, 64.5K)

You can’t explain why it isn’t besides no black people so that’s a pretty good indicator

>4's campaign was decent
??????????????????

I replayed that mission so many times and I would spend a crazy amount of time driving around the island. It was so comfy.

For me, its ODST>3>Reach>1>2>4>5

>BELIEVE
That ad makes me tear up. Not because of some faggy appeal to nostalgia, but because of the genuine expressions of terror, pain and despair on the marine's faces.

Attached: 1399655195651.jpg (184x184, 11.04K)

>ruined the lore (5 built upon this, did not introduce it)
>shit level design
>shit enemy encounters
>ugly weapon models
>terrible pacing
Oh yeah, 4 was great alright.

in what world is 4 better than 3? what did they do better?

Well from the leaked Mega Bloks sets, it looks like Locke got killed and his helmet used as a trophy.
So there's that.

Based

No retard, that isn't what it's saying at all. Are you illiterate?

Nothing, he's trolling you.

I used to replay the beginning all the time and try to squeeze through the door before it shut. I actually managed it once, but I forget what you needed to do. I think it involved grenade pushback.

100% agree

forgot odst
CE > ODST > 3 > Reach > 2 > 4 >>>>>>>> 5
I wish they went farther with ODST and got a B team to make a full game on it.

Still no specifics just throwing out buzz words, better luck next time kid

>BRUTES ARE BLACKS
ftfy

Halo 2 Campaign was Bungie panicking and throwing shit at the wall to see what would stick because they had no idea what they were supposed to make. It was entirely saved by the multiplayer and making Xbox Live a successful platform.

to be fair, the prometheans are shitty

CE is still the best campaign in the series.
It honestly looks better and grander than H2. Even H3 feels small compared to CE.

Attached: 1584307840962.jpg (2560x1440, 401.67K)

It's still more than what you've done. Please, explain then, how Halo 4 is good.

> h2 was entirely saved by the multiplayer and making Xbox Live a successful platform.
Yep. H2 would have been seen as a dud if it wasn't used as the flagship for xbox live. H2 came out at the right time.

>4 better than 3 and 2
Imagine having taste this shit

CE > 3 > 2 > ODST > Reach > 4

2 is blatantly rushed as fuck and has a lot of garbage but Reach's story/characters is so ass I can't forgive it
