I've started playing Fallout 4 for the first time and I'm rather sick of it already desu. I've just finished the Glowing sea quest and I'm just kind of tired of the questing system. Just feels like I'm being dragged from quest to quest with no real opportunity to just go out and adventure.
I've also downloaded Fallout 3 which I've played years ago and really enjoyed so my question is, Should I just drop fallout 4 and start Fallout 3 or should I just continue playing Fallout 4 in the hopes it becomes more free flowing.
Also fuck this companion system and the base building shit.
if you like Fallout 3 I think the best course of action would be going to a therapist for any underlying mental health issues

I never got much into modding 3 (it doesn't really need it like 4 does) but if you're playing it through Steam the community patch or whatever it's called is almost a necessity

What's wrong with Fallout 4 OP? It's fun, isn't it? The entire premise of videogames is to have fun, and in Fallout 4, you'll have fun like never before. The gunplay is better, the armor system is better, the customization and unique weapons are better, you can even have your own settlement to call your own. You also have a wide selection of companions that will help you throughout your adventures. Well, that's all the time I have for now. Have a safe quarantine everyone. I'll get back to playing Skyrim on my Nintendo Switch.
But even that lacks the atmosphere of 3. Specifically the eyebots. In 4 just play jazz music whereas the ones in 3 would float around pumping out cool patriotic tunes and propaganda.

Fallout 2 is great. It's frankly better than most modern RPGs and easy to run compared to some games of that era, like civ 2.
