The attitude goes hand in hand with the rise of the current wave of feminism. You can depict all kinds of violence in your media but people only usually complain when it's sexual violence. Game of Thrones was a good example when it was airing. You can have gruesome murders, guys getting their skin peeled of, guys getting castrated, mindbroken and kept as pets, people burned alive, even a little girl gets burned alive and the overwhelming majority of people chalk it up to the nature grittily realistic medieval setting of the show (magic and dragons aside). But then you have Sansa getting raped off screen and all the feminists are up in arms over it. It's a feminist power play really. They don't like a thing, they want it censored. And even if it doesn't get censored, they've made it clear that they'll will shame and guilt trip every time any one breaks one of their more or less arbitrary rules of what can be depicted in media.

They're a creative form of human expression, and therefore "art." Artwork, character modeling, spriting, music compostion, storytelling, etc all inexplicably coalesce into something which is no longer art because "reasons." They are not "high art" (which in itself defined mostly by cultural zeitgeist, so it's an asinine either way) and I doubt anyone will a modicum of common sense will argue otherwise. But I don't see how anyone can bold face say they aren't art aside from being contrarian. Feminists smearing their menstrual blood onto a fucking canvas is unironically is consider "art."

Zig Forums tends to hate people because of how they act rather than something generic like their race, age, gender, religion etc. They leave that up to leftists.
That's not to say Zig Forums doesn't make generalizations because they do, but that's purely in the interests of saving time. If 13% are responsible for 50% of a particular crime then it does not make a lot of sense to assume someone from the other 87% is just as likely to be responsible if that particular crime is committed therefore they work on the assumption that one of the 13% is responsible (which they are, more than 50% of the time).
Whereas those on the left are not really that interested in what the crime is or who committed it unless it is a crime against someone who falls into the arbitrary metric they have set themselves already. No logic takes place, its purely about emotional fulfillment.
