Well I don't know how crazy you wanna get with "social vacuum" because humans are so inherently social. I just meant funko pops aren't something most people buy because they like the look of the things and then keep the fact that they did so to themselves, the primary incentive to collecting these things is to feel like you're participating in a social event, that's why these consumers are so vocal with their purchases. You ever play a random decades-old video game on your own one day just to scratch it off the backlog, and had fun with it? That's enough of a social vacuum for me.

There are barely any sets that are below 100 bucks anymore, and if they are they're usually really basic and/or shit

I have one (1) shelf that I dedicate to my weeb and vidya shit, and half of it is just used for books anyway. Even with it being that small, I sometimes feel like it’s escessive or an eyesore. I can’t imagine how empty you have to be to just fill entire rooms with fucking hideous funko pops.
