Hours of unironic fun online on the Wii with this, Goldeneye Craigmake, and Mario Kart.

The story was shit sure, but it probably had the best online of any game on the Wii.

The backlight, durability, battery life, and design of the ds4 were all a step backwards. It's a little better ergonomically, but the ds4 is easily the worst first party controller I've ever owned. It's even more glaring how shit it is when you use the xbone or switch pro controller

I think the only wii games I ever played online were mario kart and the ge remake which was absolute garbage

switch pro controller is a pile of shit that shipped broken and only had good battery life because 90% of the library is 30fps or below garbage so the controller barely polls.

they feel pretty awful compared to the pro controller though. Kinda unresponsive too. Playing smash is impossible.

The singleplayer was fine, enjoyable for what it was but the sequel tried to embrace the wrong kind of camp and instead of becoming a weird X-files National Treasure crossover just hired Duke Nukem's voice actor and went from feeling like a special that would air on the History Channel to a trashy 80's b-movie.

Multiplayer was great, I still have yet to play a game with better UI customization that doesn't come from mods, though. Hackers shitted it up pretty bad and the sequel was a huge mess online.

the wiimote on its side is unironically a better controller for 2D platformers than most other modern controllers including the Switch Pro and the Xbox One.

I'm an idort who owns all 3 main controllers, the pro controller is easily the worst considering how much its being sold for at $70, its a shit mushy dpad thats prone to double inputting and the thumbsticks are just a shade too wide, and it really makes me wonder what they were going for. Its not really good at anything, except lasting a decent while.

The ps4 is the most flimsy by far the only issue is that retarded TouchPad that is literally useless.

The xboner controller is clearly the best it just feels like a brick in your hands here and there.

The DS4 is the fucking only 1st party controller with battery life so terrible.
Both the Switch Pro and Xbox One last longer and no the light bar does not significantly impact this reality.

The joycons have batteries half the size of the DS4's battery and they each last 20 hours, more than double what the DS4 can do even on its newest revision.

And don't even pretend most PS4 games run above 30fps or that the high polling rate of the PS4 controller even matters when the bluetooth AND USB latency is still dogshit.

I need to get guns for the Xbox still so I can play that port
but the Wii is nice, also has HOTD3, HOTD Overkill, Gunblade NY, LA Machinegun, Ghost Squad, Link's Crossbow Training, RE light gun games and even controller schemes like RE4 are fun on the Wii

To be fair the Switch Pro has nice ergonomics.
Also the DS4's biggest problem is obviously the battery life, every 1st party controller and most 3rd party controllers shit on it in this regard.

I'm honestly expecting them to make the PS5 controller have shitty battery life in order to sell more 1st party charging docks.

Because not only is it convex meaning less grip but the controller itself rests on them and on an already flimsy controller that's never a good thing.
