Play it like the single player game it was meant to be and you'll be fine. (Party members might as well be ai companions if everyone does their role properly)

Nope, you are going to have to make a completely new account and start over from scratch to be able to play the free trial, if you want to play on that account you have to pay sub even if all you have is ARR and Heavensward while being below level 60

Wrong, if you ever owned the game you will be forced to pay sub even if you only own ARR or heavensward. It's literally a better option for said owners to delete their account and make a new one so they can access the trial.
