Those games are specific experiences, sure it shares aspects with the medium but I don't think it can be compared to anything like Civilization or Doom in any aspect.

Sure, but they were also pretty fucking annoying. This just doesn't make up for a game as poorly made as this. If babes could not save X-2 (an objectively far better game), they most certainly can't save XIII.
